We're going to delete any further posts dealing with this incident, because it is in no way reflective of our league in general. The IFFL does not condone or encourage players to fight - we have a zero tolerance policy. 99% of the time our officials and most teams are very quick cool down a situation before it comes to a boiling point. Unfortuneately there is no fool proof way to prevent spontaneous altercations, and when it happens we deal with it on our end.

Every season there is an incident where players get into a physical altercation which extends beyond the boundries of what anyone would consider "part of the game". Actions (suspension and/or banning depending on the particulars) we take against those involved in these altercations is punishment related to their participation in the league and their presence at the playing locations. This is the legal extent of our authority in the matter.

We have and will punish teams as well when behavior becomes a pattern, but when there is no pattern we cannot hold a team accountable for the actions of an individual.

For those players who are in this league (I am one of them), we have the right to know.

What happened?

"A right to know?" Sit your dumbass down. The one incident didn`t have any effect on any other games or teams in this league on Sunday. That sh8 is dead and has no place in this league. It`s over and done with, onto next week`s game.

Agree with player

I agree with player. What about those teams that play either of these two teams in the future?

People want to know what happened.

"People want to know what happened."

Then you must have multiple personalities, because all three people asking in this thread and others are the same IP.

We addressed the issue above.

I don`t think I am the only one who is interested in knowing what happened. Almost every team is very clean in this league, and if there was an issue, why not state what happened?

We`re not ignoring what happened. There was a physical altercation between 3 players, followed by ejections. We`ve communicated with the coaches, collected accounts, and will deal with the problem on our end once all the information is in.

What we don`t want is the fighting glamorized, or veiled threats or certain people`s privacy invaded - all of which was starting to happen here.

Agree

Tom- I agree that a fight should not be glamorized, 99.9% of the people in this league think it is an insult for teams to even try and pick a fight. Everyone realizes that we are here for fun, and to enjoy playing a sport together.

I hope those 3 players are ejected from the league, for good.
