Just would like some info. Not interested in turning this into another of the IFFL`s bashing posts.

Looking to play in the fall week night league. Don`t know if we should go A or B. I noticed that the teams that win the spring league don`t do to well in the fall league during the week.

Is it that much better under the lights?
Do some of these spring teams stack teams more in the fall?

Any info would help.
Thanks-

There is a significant difference. The short story is some of the truly dominant teams dont play in the spring, and the majority of teams are short handed in the spring. I would not do "A" until you have had success in "B".

Not only that, but if you wade into the "A" league unprepared some (most?) of the teams will try to snatch your best players. "A" league doesnt mess around..."B" league features newer teams or experienced teams the emphasize friends>>"A" league aspirations (wolverines, rhinos, larrys, scrubs), ie: everyone plays, people dont get "cut", etc. That mentality takes some luck in the "A" league to be successful(the option raiders come to mind...), as most of the teams are constantly reinventing themselves to some degree in order to stay competitive...at times it borders on cannibalistic!

Have to agree.

Fall "A" teams seem to be always changing to keep up with the competition. Their pretty serious about winning and are not bothered with the whole "have to play everyone theory", as most of the teams are sponsored.

Agree`s statement is pretty accurate aside from the friends statement. I played with the Lions for a season and they have a core group of about 9 guys that are real good friends off the field. Another team that has had the same guys together for years is Lazy. All in all, unless you have guys that are really committed to winning, I would stick to "B" and enjoy the season.

Yes, but NOT on two FCFFL teams in different divisions or levels, or two IFFL teams in different divisions or levels.

And vice-versa (with a few exceptions) if you look close enough, but its more a matter of Sunday vs. weeknight than the time of year. Its tough to build a team around players available all the time both Sunday and on weeknights, so some teams just commit to one or the other as their primary arena of competition.
