For Spring, after we have all the teams, we create divisions based mainly on two factors: rivalries and the weight of past performance.

We try to build the divisions around rivalries while ensuring that the overall weight of the divisions (top to bottom) are close.

Next Spring`s divisions will look similar to this Spring, but we`ll make adjustments. You never know when an established team will not play or when a normally Fall-only team decides to participate in the Spring.

For this Fall since we`re getting more Sunday teams in the Fall every year, we`ll probably run A, B and C divisions on Sunday (expecting 8 in each division), instead of a 14-16 team Open League and a Novice.

Tom, you need to keep the A/B open league with separate playoffs for each level. The open league lets B teams play against better competition and hopefully allows them to improve as well.
