When the Center Snaps the Ball, Does the Ball HAVE TO go between his legs?
Or can the Center line up with a SIDE STANCE to Snap the Ball?

Thanks for the Responses. I played in a 4 on 4 "Run N Gun" League where SIDE STANCE was ok.
With the Side Stance, It Opened up a whole new style of play, Incorporating Direct Snaps to RB`s and Direct Snaps to WR`s as far as 20 yards from the Center. It kept you on your toes.

To: Center - Sorry my roster is now full, But being a Center you hold a Very Valuble Position, I`m sure some one will pick you up. Post in the Free Agent List.

To: FNG- There will always there those Stupid Responses to Posts by ignorant people, nothing you can do about it.
But I also played Run n gun a few years back, and I do not mean to offend any one in this league, but that is the toughest tournament play I`ve ever experienced.
We lost the Title to a team that snapped sideways, it was definetly a different level of play.
Hey FNG, What team do you play for, I wouldnt mind adding you on my team.

Right on Mark, I dont think too many guys can hang with 4 man.
I am on a team already for this season, we should do well, since we have all played 4 man.
I`ll keep my team anonymous, I`m sure you know why, but thanks for the offer.

Back to the question at hand.Is it legal to do a side snap ? Since you can`t rush up the middle or line up over the center, does it really matter how you snap the ball ?

The snap must go between snappers legs and he must face downfield.
