Commish,
I know that level C is the lowest division in the league, but although we paid the same amount as the other level`s don`t we deserve competent officials? The officials we had on the first week in Herndon was probably the worst I`ve seen. We had to set up our own cones. There were only 2 refs, and they were asking the players what the rules were. There was no clock stoppage and we were finished with both halve`s in 35mins.
Please Help.
Richie, Clubhouse.

Thank you for your input. You are correct in that respect. You deserve quality officiating. I am well aware of the situation from both weeks at Herndon with only having two officials and officials being late. I have been monitoring your games for your division.

I have already taken care of it. This weekend I think you will be impressed. Feel free to come up and let me know what you think about the officiating this week. I will be there at the start of the games.

I want you to know that I was just as, if not more disappointed at the presentation of the officials at the C division games. Your division to me is not the lowest division it is the most important because we want you to come back and play again next year.

Thanks,

Rob

Rob,

I noticed different refs at Autumnwood. They weren`tbad at all. They made a few questionable calls, but thy let us play. They were also consistant. If one team gotcalledfor somethin-those guys had the ballsto make the call on the other team if they did the same thing.Arewe gonna have the same guys this week?

The individual officials rotate fields each week to keep things fair. We don`t want any team to feel as if an official or a group of officials have a vendetta against any particular team. I am not sure by name who will be at Autumnwood this week.

We do have 2 organizations officiating in the Spring to evaluate which one is better. The group @ Herndon is a different officiating group than all of the other fields.

To resolve the issues @ Herndon I have requested that the officiating group handling all of the other fields take over Herndon as well. They have a much better presentation than the officiating group from last fall and who is currently at Herndon.

get used to it. These officials are the lowest of the low they cant even ref pop warner football. So you really just have to go in there expecting them to not know what they are doing because they don`t. The big problem is that they dont think it is just flag football and seem to call a penalty for everthing including not walking straight.

It looks like a good plan to mix the crews around so it won`t look like they are picking on a team or player, but they come in with a different view of the rules. What might be called this week , won`t be called the next. How one official views a penalty- might not be a penalty to the other. And they pass the buck a lot and say they "DID NOT SEE IT" or "IT`S NOT MY CALL".It is easier to pick up the flag than it is to not make a call and be inconsistant.Maybe they need to keep a rule book at all fields to help out.

Couldn`t agree more, I feel like we paid a good deal of money to play in this league and have gotten weak officiating every week. Last week the refs called us for foul language (ON THE SIDELINES) and also called one of us for spiking the ball. Absolutely ridiculous, we`re all adults and out here to have fun but I have to have some old redneck screw us out of kicking our extra point because back in his day people didn`t spike the ball when they scored. However, the other team talked trash for the last 5 minutes of the game, loud enough for everyone to hear, but the crew called nothing.

Let us play, and call it consistent. Please.
