Shay (their coach) is a pal of mine...but I always answer questions when asked! The only reason we always play them tough is because what we do offensively and defensively match up perfectly with them. Ask tom (tom@iffl.us) for my email if you like.

Big fellah, we have to play them this fall so dont want to give up too many details on this board...because, there are alot of teams dying to know what the 3-5 scrubs do on the field!!!

Jay do you play for Going Deep? This game is a BAD matchup for the Novas. I doubt the Novas have faced an O like your this season and they way they play D they are in for a shock. Just play your all`s game straight up as usual. I am predicting Going Deep 34 Novas 28. Yes I think this will be a very high scoring affair!

What works best is to not show up for the game since it will be the same result as if you did(you are going home) but you will be less tired and no one will get injured and you can spend your time doing something more usefull.

Man play them tight, they aren`t that fast and their CB`s like to hold your recievers just under the belt off the line. They play as a team, like them purple and silver cats...(forget their name) so you have to stay sharp from beginning to end. Also, watch your flats and the center release. They love to hit within the zone and then when the defense adjusts they hit you deep on a Post or Fly route. To give them difficulty, play man if you have the speed. If not, play "smart" zone and apply some crazy pressure on their QB. This doesn`t say you`ll beat them but you`ll give them a run for their money.

the team is just solid man, they have no glaring weaknesses, they do try to get the ball to ty a little too much, but they have above average team speed and just methodically "do what they do". nothing special, just hard-nosed ball. my advice, give damone the ball and let him go wild, he may be faster than anyone they got, even tho the bama is looking a little pudgy these days, kidding kidding, play hard goin` deep and you got a shot.

the novas run the option fairly well so if that is your staple, you may struggle because they see a decent amount in practice from their own offense.

throw to the slot reciever. the way novas play defense which is three rushers, one middle backer, two coners, and two deep safeties. there is no way the two safeties can cover the slots tight everyplay. anything quick to the slots work, i know, i seen it happen many a times because its happen when i was playing with them. put your best guys in the slot and let them go to town.thats all i can give you for now.good luck.
