This game came down to the last play.

United was up by 3, red Storm had the ball at the 5, 4th down, a few ticks on the clock.

Red Storm decided to go for the win, and not overtime.

The gamble worked, I`ll have the video clip up of the play up in the gallery in a little bit.

Good game United. Definitely fun playing you guys as well as the other teams. This is our first year and we had a blast. We`ll be back for more. Thanks to Rob, Tom, Shay and everyone else who helped organize the spring.

The RED STORM is moving up to the A division next year? I enjoyed watching your team play yesterday. Very gritty, good receivers, and a lot of heart. You guys are going to have to get bigger on the front line in order to compete with the big boys. Good luck!

Please come and compete with the A league- it will help you guys improve.

The most competitive league in this area is the FCFFL!

We dont know what are plans are for the upcoming season. Again, this is our first time playing in an organized league, and playing with each other. We would like to at least get into the B League and improve from there. We are still learning the ins and outs of Flag Football and the worst thing we could do is move up a level and end up getting bumped down.

Red Storm 10, The best way to get better is play against the best, and learn what works from them. Might want to ditch the double passes, disciplined teams don`t fall for them.

Don`t dicth the double it still keeps a team honest and off gaurd. However,it should not be one of your base plays.

It seems to me that if we wanted to really play football than this league wouldn`t be the one to join. With the rules the way they are, it makes for a game more like NFL street than real football. We don`t have a double pass play but it seems like most A and B teams we`ve seen run double passes almost all the time. The fact that all people including lineman are elgible also makes it even more different from what I`m used to. There is no downfield blocking and there are plenty other rules that I`m not even aware of. I think our team is the most penalized team in the history of this league

Its not like we`re a football club or anything like that. We didn`t have tryouts or practices every week. We`re just a group of friends that get drunk saturday night and get up sunday morning to see if we`re coherent enough to run around. At this point, we don`t take this as serious as most of the good teams do. We just like to go out and play and win.

Congrats Red Storm on your victory. Our team kept following you Sunday`s schedule, and a lot of our guys kept asking why are these guys in C? (And some of your opponents as well).

I think your team would be very competitive in A, and don`t listen too much to the size issue.. small, smart and quick will go far in flag football too. I think what separates A from Novice is the level of organization. There`s a lot of crafty vets in A, with established rosters, role players, plays, etc... If you can get that together, there`s no reason you can`t compete... Hope to see you.

When and where is the bark bowl? Is it a one day tourney with all the teams? I would have to find out the schedule because our guys come from all over the beltway including bowie and ft. washington so its not easy for us.

Congrats on the championship guys. Going for the win on the last play instead of the tie took balls but I would have expected nothing less from you guys.

I would also like to congratulate United on a great day of football. They were a better team than us yesterday and were a play away from winning the championship. Great job.

Rhino33 that was me that made the statment about their size. I loved watching them play and like their team. But in my opinion, I think their lack of size up front would be a big disadvantage in the A league.

Congrats to my fellow flips on the big win. I hear that the game was a good one. Some of our players were running with United. That is a strong showing for a first year team. I hope to see you all this fall in the "A" division. This is where the big boys play. But i hear that you all are looking for more comp. I am sure that you will find it in the "A" Good luck and see you all at the Bark Bawl

I would suggest another stay at the C Level. All three games through the playoffs were squeak out wins. A 5 point win to start, overtime in the second, and a last second td in the final game. You are a pretty good team but you may want to re-consider the step up.

My recommendation is "B" in the fall, "A/B" next spring then "A" next fall...that`s the course we followed. Each has been a step up in level of competition but not overwhelming. You`ll enjoy some success at each level, but also learn slowly the things you need to know to win in "A"...some aren`t so obvious! Congrats.

Locs, of course you`re gonna say a team needs big men. You could easily be mistaken for a Jamaican Hulk. Not to mention, you just finished an all-pro final year of your contract. This is all clear to me, you got your eye on the free agent market!!

But don`t even try it, cuz the Rhinos will franchise your ass!

Jamacian Hulk? I never quite thought of it that way, but it is a great description of our big man in the middle of our D.

Rhinos 33, No need to worry about franchising him, as unless he gives in to serious peer pressure he will once again be taking the fall off.

LMAO!! We`ll, I just got back from dinner with the coach of the Red Storm and they have quite an offer on the table. So if Chirs doesn`t match it I`ll be a hold out for mini- camp.

so LIONS are you saying that some of your guys were slumming in the C`s all year or United just borrowed a few for the playoffs????

either way sounds like a bitch move

I will put this topic to rest-

There are players on the United team that used to be LIONS players - they know our system and us it to there advantage. There are two current players that play with me in the Fall.

So in answer to your question they were not slumming - they just took the opportunity to play with some of our friends in the C division.

If by "holding out", you mean throwing lead down in Miami.... well frankly, we don`t need that type of element in the Rhinos organization.

I`m sorry Rasta-hulk, now please don`t shoot me.
