The word is these guys picked up the Mcnay brothers. Well- there hot heads and we will see what effect that has on there team chemistry. Possible implosion or possible domination. I guess we will see these guys at the Bark Bowl. But if things develop for them they could take it all (Fall, States and Nationals). It will be on the coach to manage these head cases. Something tells me he is capable. He used to have to handle this giant the Lions had and he seemed like he did a good job.

The Broadland Pub will be a team to look out for this fall. Key pick ups at WR and other positions will put them over the edge in the fall league.

I`m not trying to call out the Lions or anything but I always notice that they are always ranked #1 in all of the polls posted on this message board. Considering they have yet to win a championship at any level, spring or fall season, and they have never won a state tournament and never qualified to even go to Nationals I just find it interesting. I agree they have been the most talented team man for man the last five years but they ARE not the "best team" by far they are just the team with the best players. I`m sure they will win a championship as they are young team but who ever does these polls needs to also look at how the Lions perform in playoffs and tournament and not just the talent of the Lions. Also Poll person you need to take a closer look how some of these other teams have done in the past as well. Many teams in FX don`t even care about the regular season it`s just a tune up for playoffs and States you need to take a closer look at the teams history in post season and States before making polls. I`m curious how are players would rank the USA Poll?

I have to agree with what you have said. We have no championships under our belts. And because of that, i have to agree that we are not in the top 5, but we are knocking on the door. We are young and have grown every year. With that said, we can not say that we are number 1, based on potential. But we can say that we have beaten every team that is ranked infront of us. But until we win a chanpionship, we have nothing but potential to stand on. We have made some new moves in the free agent market and pic up some vet`s that know how to win the big games. Something that we have lacked in our past seasons. We will have to see where we stand at the end of this season. Good luck to all of you this fall, i hope that the road to the state championship runs through Fairfax County

Here are the true top 5 - read it - memorize it - take a picture -

1 My Plumber

2 NOVAS

3 Lions

4 Sharks

5 Kerns

This is the top 5 in the fall and in the league. This is a bit tough bec. as some players have stated these teams at one point or another have all beaten each other. I do realize My Plumber only plays the Fall but they have lost to the Lions. The NOVAS have competed every season no matter what division but they have also been beaten by the Sharks and the Lions. The Lions have never won a championship but have beaten all these teams- some were even shut outs. The Sharks have won a championship but have lost to the NOVAS and to the Lions. Kerns has also won games against these teams but have also lost to them. To debate what teams are stronger is truly pointless. The Spring is weaker than the fall- its the facts. But day in and day out these are the top consistant teams.

Based on championships, wins, talent, and history, going into this 06 Fall season, these rankings are accurate. But the A league is strong and anyone can win or lose to any team on the on any give day. The season is looking to be a good one and I am sure that there will be some surprise teams this year. This is only pre-season talk right now. We will see just how accurate we are with these ranking at the end of the season. You do have to put in Lazy Sundays somewhere on this list. Who is Kerns and what have they done? how long have they played in the fairfax league?

That is a shame that you wont be playing in the weeknight league. it looks like it might be a good season. there are alot of good teams this year. we are going to have our same players and also add on some more bodys. we have no bench and that hurts us late in the games. we are looking strong for the fall. i just hope that we can put it all together. well glad to see that you are getting to run in the fall. you should come out and watch us sometime.

Observer-

You say we are only #8 out of all the teams and that we don`t perform well in the playoffs. My question to you is, what are you looking at when making these statements? We have played 4 falls and 3 springs. In those 7 seasons (6 at the A level) we have been to the semis 6 times (this spring was the only early playoff loss) and to the championship 3 times. The only other team with that consistency at the A level over the last 3 years is the CCR NOVAs. In fact, only one other team has even made it to 2 championship games (Sharks) during that strech. In addition over the last 4 regular seasons at the A level (2 fall, 2 spring) we have gone 26-4 during the regular season, the best mark of any team out there. You have teams ranked ahead of us that have never even beat us. The last time I checked, you based a teams stature on head to head meetings. In our 3 1/2 years of playing, only 2 teams have ever even beat us more than once (CCR NOVAs, Mudcats). Say what you want. This is not being cocky it`s just the facts. Wether it`s during the regular season or the post season we are always near the top.

Why do people bring up past championship when compiling a pre-season poll? A championship from 5 years ago isn`t going to score a touchdown in the Fall. A pre-season poll projects how a team will do, not how they did in the past. That`s call history. Let`s use the Lions as an example, since they`re a hot topic. If they were playing the #1 team, My Plumber. Who would you put your money on? If you think My Plumber will win, then you rank them higher. But don`t do it cause they won back to back championship years ago.

I think most will agree you should be ranked higher than 8. Just curious, of the 7 teams that were ranked ahead of you:

#1 My Plumber

#2 Kern`s

#3 Sharks

#4 Lazy Sundae

#5 CCR NOVAs

#6 Rhinos

#7 No Fear

which have never beat you?

You guys are putting too much into this.Every year the pre-season poll has the Redskins winning their division and every year they prove us wrong.Pre-season pols are like assholes.Everyone has one and they are all different and no matter how good they look at the beginning,it`s still a pile of sh*t in the end.( NO PUN INTENDED)

I don`t think you can change rankings after a one day tourney. Not all of the teams ranked participated in the tourney.Congrats goes to Lazy. What if a team that did lousy in the season, but won the tourney ? Would that justify them being moved up ?

I think lazy has earned the move up- they performed well in the spring tourney and now in the Bark Bowl. Sef performed well at the QB spot. This team should be top 2.

Goin Deep should also move up- they were impressive. The RB in the backfield is deadly. This team should compete in the weeknight league. This team is top 6.

Lions are still a solid top 3. There additions solidified one of the best defenses I have seen in a long time. But it looks to me there QB is not up to par. Their offense needs to be consistent.

Kerns once again are lead by their solid QB and there tough line- that one small reciever they have is a very good player. This team is top 3 also.

Rhino`s and Nova`s are still in the top 6. My Plumber will be in the top 4.

Weeknights should be very interesting. Good Luck!

After the Bark Bowl, this is how I see it (as far as teams who compete in Fairfax or IFFL):

#1 My Plumber-didn`t play in the BB, but a few of their players played with Lazy Sundae

#2 Lazy Sundae-were a top 5 team and knocked off #2,3,5, and 6 from the above poll in their last games against these teams

#3 Kern`s-were in championship of last 2 BBs

#4 Kilroy`s Lions-continue in climb to top; should get there soon.

#5 Goin Deep-I know this may be a little high, but they have been knocking on the door lately and just knocked off Novas and Sharks

#6 CCR Novas-always hanging around the final 4

#7 Sharks-looked to have slipped a little, but I don`t think they had their regular QB in the BB. Note-this is mostly based on the BB performance and not playing in spring and poor showing in last year`s Fairfax A regular season. They came back to win the Fairfax A tournament (the toughest league around), so I expect them to jump up to the top 1 or 2 early in the Fall.

#8 Rhinos-don`t mean any disrespect to the Spring Champs, because this is a very tough team. It`s just that all the above teams (except for Goin Deep who are the new kid on the block) have consistently been in final 4s/championships. Rhinos are another team that with a good showing in Fairfax A in the fall can jump.

There is a little bit of a drop off after the top 8, but MAC Daddies, Larry`s, Outcast are not far behind.

Observer, no disrespect taking. Hard to argue with the teams you have ranked ahead of us. We are happy to see the Rhinos being listed with teams like My Plumber, Lazy, Novas, etc…

We have lost a few of our top players from the spring and may not physically or mentally be over our triple OT Bark Bowl loss to Lazy, but we will see everyone in the Fairfax County A league this fall.

what do you think of Myplummer/Lions/Kerns/Sharks? including your team, i think that these are my top 5. you seem to know your stuff and have been in the league for a while. what are your thoughts on the subject?

Plumber- Only played them once. Fromwhat I saw, extremly tough and well balanced.

Lions- Best D of any team I`ve ever faced and always focused.

Kerns- Deadliest all around qb in the league and best team athletic wise.

Sharks- Expierienced and savy vets. Always a threat and a surprise.

Lazy- A bunch of clowns that love the game. Just not always focused.

Plumber #1, Kerns#2, Lazy #3, Sharks #4, Lions #5. Just an opinion and doesn`t represent facts in any way, shape, or form.

I don`t take much from preseason rankings, but I do respect your opinion. By the way, I was previously a WR and Safety for Kerns in last year`s BB. I hope you all continue to sleep on me because I gaurentee the Sharks with me at QB will have no more than 2 losses in the fall.

Not much to take from pre-season rankings. Just opinions. I was also a wr during the season last year. I never sleep on any team anymore(that`s how we got handled at states last year).

GD has improved so much over the last year, it`s unreal. The qb got smarter and a better feel for the game. The option has been reinvented from the Raiders version. Team came together from basically relying on Damone. A couple of key pieces and there`s a new deputy in town.

Earlier I forgot to mention Novas. As said before, they are always there at the end. With that said, bump #3 on down. They`ve proved it much longer than we have.
