ANNOUNCEMENT:

;
Here`s how the playoffs will work for Sunday Mornings:

The teams that signed up to play "A" automatically go to the "A" playoffs. Those teams are Stone Cold, ScarFace and Panorama. Then, based on the teams left, the next best 3 overall (both divisions) will round out the "A" bracket. 1 and 2 seeds will get a bye.

The next best 6 teams will make up the "B" bracket, with the 1 and 2 seeds getting a bye.

The bottom 6 teams will make up the "C" bracket, with the 1 and 2 seeds getting a bye.

Barring any rainouts, playoffs will be on November 10th and will be played all on one day, so bye or not, you need to be ready to play that day. The most games you`d have to play to win is 3.

Race for A

SC, ScarFace, and Panorama are locked in leaving three wild cards.

- Outcast is killing it this year and has clinched the first wildcard spot (and is on their way to a bye in the first round).
- Imposters are up next. Won B in the spring so dont understand how this is a question.
- Last spot is where it gets interesting. Goldrush, Warriors, + Outlaws all tied up at (2-1-1). Dont know the full tie breaking procedures but assuming it goes by cumulative score which Outlaws have a fairly signifigant lead in. Problem is they have a tough game against Imposters on Sunday. Win and theyre in, lose and the last A spot goes to the winner of Goldrush/Warriors played at 12.

The final week will pretty much have 4 teams fighting for 1 spot in the A-playoffs. Warriors, Outlaws, Goldrush, & Rebels. Who gets it?

Game of the Week : Imposters vs Warriors - 9AM Lake Fairfax

Winner there should grab the top remaining A spot and leave the loser, Outlaws, Lazy Sundae (assuming they beat choppa city this week) battling for that last spot at the big kids table.

Doubleheader out east makes it tough to call but its def gonna be close. With the way point differential is bunched up a couple points either direction might make the difference between a low seed in A and a mid seed in B.

1.Scarface - bye
2. StoneCold - bye
3. Outcast vs 6. Rebels/Warriors (both should be 4-2-1)
4. Panorama vs. 5. Imposters (most likely)

Who won the Imposters/Outlaws game? I`m guessing Imposters.

Not in seeding order but B playoffs will be.

question?

Nov 07, 2013
6:33 PM
;
How are Bearcats in B and Swarm in C? Same record but Swarm has the better point differential? Should`t swarm be B6 and Bearcats be C1?

You are correct. I will fix. Swarm should be B6, Bearcats C1 and Choppa City is C2

Question

Shouldnt Choppa City be B6 and Swarm become C2????

No. When three teams are tied for a position, there are no other teams with the same percentage, only 2 of the teams have played each other. In this specific scenario, head to head is not used as the first tie breaker, because one teams has no head to head record. Teams are ranked first by overall point differential. If two teams who have played each other get ranked in succession, THEN the head to head result could flip the positioning of those 2 teams.

In this case, Swarm has a -3.7 APD, Choppa City -4.1 and Bearcats -12.5. Swarm hasn`t played either Choppa City or Bearcats and has the best APD, so they are B6. Because Choppa has played Bearcats and lost, Bearcats get the C1 seed and Choppa the C2 seed.
