refs suck in this league.

Really? I like our crews and would take them over any other league in the area. What could you possibly have to complain about after a 34-0 win? They screwed you out of that last XP?

This past game was by and far the most mild mannered anyone on the team has been all year, yet the refs were playing 9v7 (the one wearing the hood was chill, called the last ridiculous penalty, but i ain`t mad at him), horribly lopsided calls...
Maybe it was on account of the sap coming from one of the cedars eyes. but jokes aside, they even called a penalty on a mild celebration and (seriously, i can`t make this up), there was a personal foul for a bad kick. They ejected the licker from the game, then penalized us for a poor extra point attempt, as if we did it on purpose!

Personal foul on a bad kick? You`ll have to explain that a little better.

our qb tried to kick an extra point. it probably got about 7 feet off the ground so a certain player on the other team starts walking to the qb saying he did it on purpose haha. qb responds by saying next time he WILL do it on purpose. I tell my qb to "chill out" as it is now halftime and we are walking to our sideline. ref calls me back and tells me I`m team captain and I should be keeping my team in check instead of being the main one instigating. -_- ref is an idiot.
later in the game, a certain d lineman puts his hands on my neck and forcefully continues to push his way through me. qb throws the ball and ref yells out, "number 7, if you retaliate, I`m going to kick you out of the game." so basically....he clearly sees a penalty being committed and knows that it`s something that`s going to upset someone, but instead of throwing the flag or at the very least, telling the player to control himself...he chooses to just try to find a way to single me out. pretty stupid considering I literally didn`t even do anything back to the guy.
other ref threw a flag on me for spinning the ball after I scored a TD. petty in my opinion, but perfectly acceptable. I didn`t realize it was against the rules. I have since read the rules so I won`t complain about the call since there`s nothing to complain about. they throw invisibleman out of the game, but I hear a certain player on the other team cuss multiple times right in front of/next to that ref and he completely ignores it.
to be 100% honest...nothing was started by our team. they had a d-lineman that got a sack, but didn`t hold the flag up so the refs didn`t see it. we scored a TD on that play and the other team got their feelings hurt. they might have stopped us that one play, but it`s not like we weren`t going to score anyway.
we come out to play and have fun. refs should stay objective. they clearly struggle with that and it showed tonight. we`re not here to make friends though so we`ll continue to do what we do. we`ll probably finish runner ups to collision, but we`ll enjoy pissing everyone else off :p
tl;dr cliff notes:
-refs suck

stop crying. It`s football. It`s sports in general. Your team won`t go anywhere complaining, and the more you complain the more ref`s are likely to have calls go against you.
I`m sure the refs have their version of the story too. Putting it on here, is just going to give those same refs more reason to give the other team the benefit of the doubt on calls.
grow up.

a ref`s job is to stay objective and enforce the rules equally for both teams regardless of personal feelings

Over my seasons I have had ups and downs with many of the refs in this league. I have learned that they are not full time refs, this is not their career and they are out here doing the best job they can. There are some refs that get a little happy with flags and some refs that will let you play and just give you some warnings. I have played in other leagues were the officiating is TERRIBLE. To be honest, you guys have established a bad reputation out of the gate. It`s probably not in your best interest to publicly talk trash about the officials. Just keep playing your game and move on. The best teams over the years just keep their mouths shut. Soon you are going to think the refs are against you every game and probably just drop out of the league. Over the past few years here have been your A league winners:
Winter 2013: Pain Fall 2012: Stone Cold Summer 2012: Natural Harvest (Collision) Spring 2012: Collision Winter 2012: Pain Fall 2011: Collision Summer 2011: Badboyz Spring 2011: Wolves Fall 2010: Scavengers Spring 2010: Wolves
None of the above teams are known for having issues with the officiating. Some might say Stone Cold does but that Stone Cold team consisted of a lot of players from GameFace. Isaac keeps his team in check and is good with the officials.
I do have a question, you guys won 34-0 why are you complaining about the officiating? You clearly blew this team out. You want a fair game looks like regardless of the officiating you won easily. You guys are good for message board entertainment. Just keep calm fellas, play your game, and I hope you stick around for a while.

wow, great unbiased synopsis. First, ref is right, you`re the captain, control your team. Second, D lineman did nothing wrong, doubt he pushed your neck, but hey, exaggerations are cool. Third, yea you can`t spin the ball, read the rules at the beginning of the season, not the end. Fourth, already admitting defeat...confidence booster !

i don`t give a flippity ****.
your reply was stupid. you are probably that stupid ref. i will call a spade a spade and tell the refs how i feel about them. i decided to keep my mouth shut when we were down to 7 players, because i`m sure if i gave him a "reason" to kick me out, he would have jumped at the opportunity and probably made us forfeit.
i literally said two words after that guy from the other team started talking to my qb. i told my qb to chill out. ref made me walk all the way back to him so he could tell me to stop instigating. what was i instigating exactly? do the refs need a dictionary? why didn`t he have this conversation with the player from the opposing team who went out of his way to walk toward my qb talking that nonsense? oh....because we were up 20-0 at the time. or did the ref also think that the qb really did try to hit him with the XP? do we get to talk **** and cuss on the field ONLY if we`re getting blown out? that seems kind of stupid. conclusion=ref is stupid.
i am not exaggerating when the d-lineman`s hands were at my neck and almost at my face doing his best to push through me. i`ve played d-line before so i know that you can tell when your hands are too high. it`s not hard to keep them low where they`re supposed to be. i can understand why the ref didn`t throw the flag for only one reason...because we already got a first down and pretty decent gain on the completion (i`m not sure if the "penalty" that should have been called would have been tacked on to the end of the play). this is why i didn`t complain about it, but what sense does it make to just immediately tell me not to retaliate? why wouldn`t you, at the very least, tell that player (who was already visibly upset, because he felt like he got cheated earlier) to watch how high his hands were getting? this just basically gives the player permission to keep doing it (thankfully, said player was soon thereafter replaced by his teammates on the line). when i`m asking him these questions on the field, why is he just talking over me telling me again and again that if i retaliate, he is going to kick me out? conclusion=ref is a ***got.
if you don`t love your job...you should probably find another one. i`ll let the refs know how i feel about them. what`s the worst they`re going to do? make stupid calls (and no-calls) so that we lose a flag football game? cool.

I`m going to handle this offline. However, I have no tolerance for slurs of ANY kind on my message board, especially directed at our officials, I don`t care how you feel about their calls.
