First I want to say it’s good to be back, and thank Josh for taking the lead on the IFFL during my absence. With that said Josh will remain in his position for the IFFL, and will work with me in operating the IFFL for the future. As for the future Tom and I have major plans to increase both the IFFL and FCFFL leagues over the next two years, details will be put out in the near future.
I want to make sure everyone in the IFFL understands without Josh willing to step up and do what he did during my absence I don’t know if the IFFL would have had a league in 2012 Spring or Fall.
The fact is because of Tom’s and my professional obligations outside of football, neither of us can run the IFFL and the FCFFL alone when the other is gone. It is for this reason we both run the two league separately even though we are equal partners with the IFFL and FCFFL. So it’s a good thing Josh did what he did because Tom would have not been able to run a Sunday league while I was gone. Thank you Josh!
I know there has been some mention of Conflict of Interest with Josh being part of the IFFL operations, but that’s just not true. The Refs are controlled by Carlton (head official) and they have 100% discretion when it comes to any game time decisions, i.e. ejections, suspensions. The officials are not paid by Josh, all finances for both leagues are taken care of by myself and Tom. Even if Josh was to be thrown out of a game those official will remain as officials and get paid, and they know that.
If any player of coach would like to talk with me off line on this please do not hesitate to email me and I will give you a call so you can voice your concerns. Honestly I am much better talking then emailing or MB post, so any of you can contact me anytime on any manner if you need via email and I will call you back as soon as I can.
