Based on the behavior I saw at George Mason yesterday, coupled with the complaints we`ve already received at Hook Road (unrelated to yesterday) and the complaints we got for the way we behaved yesterday at GMU, I feel I have no choice but to remind everyone that this is an adult league and we need to act like it going forward.
I`m fully aware that emotion is a big part of our game, but as adults we MUST act to keep it in control, especially when we are setting an example in front of children.
I will NOT lose any fields on my watch due to inappropriate behavior from any of our players, so I`ve instructed all of our referee crews that from here on out there will be zero tolerance for the cursing rule we have in effect.
A warning will be given to both teams in the pre-game huddle. That will be the only warning you will get for the game. Any cursing will result in a 15 yard penalty. A second offense from the same player will result in a ejection.
Again, let me stress that there will be ZERO TOLERANCE in this matter. I don`t care who it is, or what game it is, the flag is going to be thrown. And if that isn`t enough to get your respect, then you`ll be reading about the rest of the game on the messageboard.
Thanks!
Josh
