So, there was some discussion earlier this season about tiebreakers and APD. Here`s a good example of our tie breaker procedure (and why APD matters!):
Assuming Lazy lost yesterday (don`t know, need a score), they would be 3-3 and tied with United and Hana for the last A playoff spot.
When 3 teams are tied, and they have played at least one other team in the field of teams, we go to head to head.
Lazy played United and won so they are 1-0. Team Hana played United and won, so they are 1-0. United played both Lazy and Hana and lost both, so they are (0-2).
United is now out of the discussion, so we`re at 2 teams who haven`t played each other, so the final spot will come down to APD in the games played against the tied teams.
Hana beat United 10-7 so they have a 3.0 APD Lazy beat United 25-7 so they have a 18.0 APD
Lazy gets the last A playoff spot. Now I just need them to report their score so I can seed them in the playoffs.

Another interesting tiebreaker example from the `C` division (and again, why APD is important!):
Tiger Style (1-5), Goldrush (1-5), WTF (1-5) and Swarm (1-5) all finished tied with the same record. Swarm played Goldrush earlier in the year and beat them, however neither Tiger Style nor WTF have played anyone in the group of teams. So, because two of the teams don`t have a head to head record, the tiebreaker in this case is average point differential for the season. So of the four teams they would be ranked:
Tiger Style (-9.5) Goldrush (-13.0) WTF (-13.3) Swarm (-15.1)
If Goldrush and Swarm had been ranked in succession, Swarm would have jumped ahead of them, but since they didn`t, the ranking is purely on APD.

Josh, was it confirmed in the rules that for a forfeit, there is a 21-0 default score instead of 14-0 default score?
The reason why I ask is that if we were following the 14-0 default, then WTF and Goldrush would have swapped seeds, since WTF would have then had a better point differential. So it does make a difference. Please confirm.

Default forfeit score was changed from 14 to 21 at the last coaches meeting. If anyone has another way of handling it, bring it up at the next meeting. We discussed this topic with multiple options. The league is always open for improvement.

Yes, the change was nominated and voted on at the coach`s meeting last Summer.

Do them electronically. Better sample. Just my two cents. I`m sure it will get shot down by the typical, "show up at the meeting" retorts.
