I will point out that they did want to go into C this year. This is why I hate Open. You get teams that are blown out every week. It also waters down the A divison. That is why teams down south win States year after year. They play the best of the best. Not some A, B or C teams.

I agree completely. I know this whole open format is to decrease the sandbagging but I think the old format of dropping the bottom A and B teams down for playoffs worked much better.

After seeing the gap in competition on Sunday Im starting to think it was a mistake to make this all one large open division. The league as a whole would be much better if some of these teams would simply swallow their pride and admit they arent A level squads.

Should never be open anyway, because that`s when most of the competitive teams come out. Put the top 10 teams in A, then fight it out. Every division this season, will have a team that`s either undefeated or one loss. Good teams wanna play good teams and you don`t wanna wait til the playoffs to do it. Throw open away! We have many new teams who could be fine tuning their games in b or c right now.

I highly advise every one of you who doesn`t want an Open format to show up and speak your mind at the coach`s meeting between Spring and Fall this year. There`s free food and beer, and a chance to bring up issues you want changed. However it`s almost always poorly attended. If you really want something changed, that`s your vehicle and you should use it.
For the Fall the plan is to go A/B/C, with the teams that made the A playoffs this Spring in the A division in the Fall.
For the record, I don`t like the Open format either.

I don`t want to speak out of turn but... Last I heard there was on.y a few teams (4???) willing to drop down despite recommendations from josh.

The score might have been close on the pain game, but it was wrapped up early into the 2nd half. United scored the last play of the game because Pain got very conservative on D.

2 times easily to open the 2nd half was up 28-14 with about 1:30 left and United scored on the last play to make the final 28-20. But they def outplayed Pain first half.

I think that the teams who finish in the the top eight to ten should play in A next season and get an auto bid to the A playoffs. they remaining teams should play in B/C division with the top 4 teams going to the A playoffs to make some noise. just a thought...
