Well, to be honest Mr. 757 player, none of these teams have a chance. Outcast is terrible, Stone Cold will get smoked by any team that is remotely organized and Fats with his crew might win a game, but that`s about it. There you have it.

Fact

The fact is that 703 represented well for the number of teams that went down. I think all of the games were pretty good.

is on the rise. Next season we`ll have more teams playing in the A division. We had 2 this year, but we could have 8 or more playing next year. A bunch of new teams playing in the B division. And hopefully they will put up a good showing again. There were a couple of teams that could`ve gone to states for A, but didn`t. And hopefuly with it being in Fairfax next year, all of them will show up.

You right lol but regardless if they want to or not, two B state teams from this year have to play in A next season: Pens and SC. I think the rule is that you make it to the elite 8, you got to move up next year.

I know. But theres also Magnums, Wolves, Collision, Lazy, Outlaws, United, and others who could potentially play A. TC, 7pt, Pens and SC, I would say are the locks to play A. And those teams still have a ways to go to possibly compete for the semi`s or finals one day, but if they can put a good showing together. that`ll be good.
I mean for every person who`s come on these boards and talked poorly about SC, their team better step up to A next season or theyre just insulting themselves.
Then if teams like Truth or Banditos could improve to possibly play A next year. Theres teams like The Union, Situation and Hokies who will probably play A in the reg season, should go to states next year for A or B.
just sayin theres more potential for Fairfax to show where they stand next year when more teams come out. Hopefully for both A and B.

I heard it thru the grapevine that SC is stepping up to A. 3 seasons, 3 levels of comp. Thats the only way to go. Isaac what is your email address. Need a new team. Mine sucks lol

Good points. Truly the only teams that HAVE to play in A states next year is SC and Pens and teams that regularly play in A states. Everyone else has the option to play down. States back in the 703 and we got to bring it. I hope all the 703 bids get filled next year.

wont even be in the top 10 in open spring. They got a luck draw. Isnt that the old Midgets QB?
| |
|
Yup
Dec 17, 2010 5:38 PM | | ; |
That`s him alright. SC got a good draw, and I`m sure a lot of the teams they played weren`t ready to defend a full spread. Not to mention SC just caught fire. But whatever, I don`t expect them to apologize for playing their schedule successfully.

3-4 weeks ago this IFFL board was sayin that SC was gonna be one and done in the playoffs. It shouldve quieted down when they won the B championship. Still talking ish. They go and rep the IFFL at states by making it to the final 8 and now they had an easy schedule? I DONT PLAY FOR SC FOR THE RECORD. Tired of the ***s in IFFL who dont know how to support their own teams--specially in states. All these other leagues support each other. Check out the harrisonburg messageboard. Nothing like ours. Its a damn shame. If any of you bloggettes were actually at states last wekeend you would have seen SC/Truth/Outcast all watching each others games and congratulating each other. All the coaches talking to each other, comparing notes and advice. As for the rest of yall keep your mouth shut if you have nothing good to say about your own leagues teams.

"Get em!!" Damn right buddy. I completely agree.
I was out there talkin to the helltown, team jesus, truth, outcast and a bunch of other 703 guys. Unfortunately I missed the SC games. but most likely it just one person who is consistantly hating on them. The only luck of the draw SC had was probably their first game, blowing out that usual suspects team. But most of the teams at states were pretty evenly matched. not many blowouts.
SC is still considered middle of the pack for this league until they do something here, but they`ll definetly be much better this season then they were last. One thing that was definetly different at states, was teams werent ready for the spread, and teams up here have seen it alot.
great job to them and pens for representing 703 on Sunday!

I agree about the spread. I didn`t see any other teams really use it in B. Pirates brought it once or twice, but it was clear it wasn`t their strength. No matter what offense SC was running, they did their thing. Matt looked like Big Ben back there, carving secondaries apart and running for big gains on top of that.
Throw in their spread, with an aggressive attack going deep early and often, plus the number of turnovers they generated and that`s hard as hell to stop.
I honestly believe, given the Open nature of this coming Spring that SC will make the A playoffs. They`re a team on the rise, and whether you like them or not, you`re going to have to deal with them.

Al. We ran the spread offense a lot when I was the QB. It is our strength, but coming to States we knew a lot of team would be running it, so we had to sat up a different offense as well. I think thats why we were able to counter with SC running it. I must admit SC was a different team than the one, that came to my tournament in July. They never gave up and I hope to play them again. I guess I can say the Pirates own 703, bcuz we beat both of yall. Just joking. It was two tough games for us, but we enjoyed the competition.
