Is there a reason why we can`t return the kickoff if it`s fielded endzone? Shouldn`t we have the option of returning it or taking a knee?

You should yes. If a ball is kicked into the end zone you should be able to return it. It is not mandatory that you take a knee if kicked in the end zone.

Make sure the refs know this because they don`t.

The refs are not allowing you to return a ball kicked into the end zone, this is the first year I have seen this.

We`ve seen the same thing in almost all of our games. Most refs have not allowed returns from the end zone, however, one ref actually allowed it and it caused some confusion on the field for obvious reasons.
Clarity either way would be nice. Thanks.
