06/13 : Ligers win C championship vs Rude Buddha 26-14
Ligers improve to 3-0 in the postseason, while Rude Buddha sits at 2-1.
The victory continues a 6 game winning streak for Ligers which now stands at 7 wins in a row.
The loss ended a 2 game winning streak for Rude Buddha. .
These teams are very familiar with one another, having now played 5 times. Ligers currently owns a 4 game winning streak in this rivalry. Their previous contest occured in a IFFL - Reston Spring League "Open" regular season game May 09 2010, 10:00, which Ligers won 13-9. Overall, Ligers is 4-1 against Rude Buddha.

Not sure how different it will be except you guys may actually score a td in the open league unlike your first season. 0 points scored 181 allowed.
There really was no dominant pass rushers in the c league this season. So your qb may be running more. Anyways congrats and good luck in open fellas.

1.) there are about 5 guys left from the team that played the first season
2.) have you seen our QB run? don`t think that`s what you want to force him to do.
3.) no dominant pass rushers? guess you didn`t see the Liger`s dline then.
4.) we are smart enough to know the level of competition in the A level is a different animal
5.) If we need advice, we`ll ask someone that knows what they are talking about.
6.) we will continue to do our talking on the field and you can keep talkin shyt while we shine our trophy

15 replies? How flattering... Look, everyone is well aware of the different levels of competition within IFFL including us. The true facts are this. We have improved ten fold over our first noob season coming in and trying to compete in Open. We just finished the season proving we were the strongest team in C. Next season we step up a level and we start at the bottom again. We will continue to improve every season and we`ll prove in time that we belong on that level too. Haters can hate behind their unlogged posts and pretending like their teams started at the top. We`ll pay our dues, we`ll get stronger from it, and soon you all will be chaseing us in the standings.

We are good sports; and we did keep the ones willing to stay....I should know, I started the team.
The funniest thing, is that the same 2 or 3 A teams continue to whip the A leagues asses year after year. Wolves, DMOB, Pitbulls....Lazy`s always up there. So stop worrying about the supposed horrible Ligers and worry about the teams that keep bending you over....and over....and over.

The REAL Ligers #23 is a registered user and rarely, if ever, posts on the message board. And if did, he would not have written that crap.
We are fully aware of the increased speed, talent, and physical play at the next level. And we will undoubtedly take our lumps when we move up next season. But we welcome the challenge.
Thanks again to Jake (Rude Buddha) and his squad for a well-played championship game. Big ups to Kia (Rebels) and the rest of the C League (except for The Sickness) for a great season.
And to the all the haters, you can say what you want, but we`ll just let our play on the field do the talking for us. Win, lose, or tie, the Ligers will bring it on every play, in every game.

Yea there is... I personally didnt like the Ligers when I played C and was happy to see they lost to Beer in the toilet bowl in the fall. They just have a smug way of carrying themselves and they clearly were not that tight. That being said, they`ve seemed to improved BUT i will note that C competition this year was lower than in years past when you had the Lions, Grand Hustle, WTF, Collision, and Stone Cold. All of those teams were far ahead of Ligers when they entered open and mostly struggled. IF ligers move up, they will win 1-2 games at most. Depending on their motives, they can move up and have A LOT of trouble or change their name and be a big fish in a little pond, possibly finishing with another c title.

Hey, I didn`t even know this many people knew who we were unless it`s just the same guy posting over and over with different names. After 4 seasons in the IFFL I`ve learned winning earns you a trophy, a medal, and hate clubs. You either lose and get told how much you suck or win and get told how much the team you beat sucks. Respect is earned over time but even then there will always be those few guys on the boards talking trash without logging in. You could replace Ligers with Buddha, Pirhanas, 8-ball, or any other C league team and 90% of these posts would read exactly the same if one of them had won. Some people just feed off of wanting to watch others fail.

nah not bitter, i just remember them being dbags. Aside from RB`s one LB whose standing in between 1 and 43 being a massive c unt, Rude is a good bunch of guys. ive never played any of the other teams you mentioned. I only stated the truth. If you dont like it tough.
