after having a lot of ref issues all year, the ref crew at lake fairfax did quite well. i saw many times that they huddled to eventually get the RIGHT call on the field when the initial call was incorrect. so with all the flak that they have taken, i think props are due when deserved.

There were a lot of new faces with the refs and it was a learning process at best. I am pretty sure they will get better with each game.

Ref`s did great there for C games. I was pleased. There were definatly some rough spots this year. Hope to get that crew into the playoffs.

The EC crew is hands down the best crew in the league. They were one of only two crews that I actually recognized this Spring. Games were clean and no arguing since the players respected the refs knowledge and ability to make the right call.

Heard the group that has been doing f fax flag for the longest split this spring w/ the vets (better) doing weeknights and e c lawrenceon sundays. The new (worst) doing all the other fields on sun. What all the coaches, captains and team reps need to come to the coaches meeting and show support for the new assoc. (vet refs). that way in the fall you will have vets and not a first yr ref making a horrible call week 2 and it affects your seeding for the post season. Just my 2 cent

AGAIN "To just watching" you have no clue what you are talking about. The "vet group" has 4 officials (first year) while the group (BR) has over 25 vet officials. The BR group has been officiating IFFL and FFL for over 20 years. The BR officials have officiated many states and nationals.
As one post said... I guess the officials pull flags, catch passes and call dumb plays. Good luck in the playoff`s. "loser".

Crew on EC knows the rules and I recognize from weeknight and playing in this league for 5+ yrs. Other crews at B.Cam and S.Lakes I have never seen them before this yr and never seen them on weeknights and they don`t know a lot of the rules. Maybe they were refs 15 years ago but not since we have been playing. Why did the Sunday refs change only and not the weeknights?

Sundays are new refs for BR group. They want you to think they have been doing flag for many yrs., most have less than 2 yrs. exp. To player 15 yrs, stop hiding behind a fake posting name and tell the truth, you must be one of the first yr refs or their sooy A@@ boss

THANKS?

The refs deserve to be thanked. Their job is somewhat thankless to begin with, since they typically do it for the fun and enjoy it. They are not paid a whole lot of money, and most teams who have been in this league for some time respect and have no issues with the refs. It`s the new teams with a bunch of hot heads who think that these are NFL refs who decide to mouth off, etc. The refs are out here doing the best job they can. Saying thanks every now and again is the least we can do.

True that

And everytime we go to a tourney in Richmond, Va beach or wherever, that seems to be the times we notice just how much better our referee crews are.

Agreed, its the new clowns that come in and think they are the sh&t. Sure, bad calls are made, missed calls, but refer to the above post, the Refs, don`t pull flags, call plays or drop passes.

I understand bad/missed calls are a part of the game but not knowing some of the more commonly known rules are unacceptable.

Dude, give it a rest. Say thanks, and realize the refs in the IFFL are some of the best, if not the best. Just go play and DC, or just about any other league for that matter, and you will see.

i am sorry to offend you. I forgot you are MUCH better than any ref and we should not waste our time thanking them , but should use our energy on trying to get you to be the ultimate ref. Hell , with you on the field - we only need one. BTW, which games do you ref?
