Weeknight refs are legit. Sunday refs are clowns. When tripping/tackling/flag guarding is legal, your Sunday refs will fit right in. :)

I saw the refs at Hook call roughing in the Wolves/NTAC game, but they missed a lot of flag guarding calls.

Why don`t you guys log in or have your coach do it so you can post to the coaches/ref boards? It will legitimize your complaints instead of making you look like a sore loser.

To the "Lighting," "Hook" and "Agree" post and any other post that have issues with the refs.

If you want to send me and Tom a complaint then PLEASE send it to us direct. All you have to do is go to the IFFL Web site and go to the Contact US tab on the web site and send Tom and I your complaint direct.

As far as the status on the Refs with the IFFL and FCFFL, here is the exact response that we posted to the IFFL MB a few weeks ago:

"For the last few years Bull Run Assoc. which was run by John and Carlton have been contracted to do the games for the FCFFL and IFFL. As many of you know and some don`t there was a spilt within Bull Run. This was an internal matter within Bull Run Assoc. which Tom and I had nothing to d with.

After John and Carlton went there separate ways Tom and I agreed with John and Carlton that each would get one league, John (Bull Run) got IFFL and Carlton got FCFFL.

Tom and I have seen the complaints and as far as the officials for 2010 Fall that will be decided when Tom and I talk with the ALL coaches (any players that contact us) from both leagues and review the officials from both associations.

If any player, or coach would like further explanation or to give me there input then please by all means feel free to contact me direct.

All you have to do is go to the web site and then go to the League Info tab then the Contact Us tab. Your email will go direct to me and I will get back to you."

That`s cool that you are trying to work on the issues (of the day) with the refs. However your time would be better spent securing turf fields for us next season. Thanks for all you (and Tom) do for our league.

TRUST me I wish we could have turf fields in the spring, it`s so much easier on Tom and I.

With turf no rain outs and we don`t have to line them every week.

Below is the post that is on the top of the MB it answers the ref and fields issue we keep getting post on:

S.

PREVIOUS POST:

As stated earlier this year on the board, and once again, Tom and I have no control over the fields we are allocated for the IFFL and the FCFFL. The fields are allocated to the IFFL and FCFFL by the Fairfax County Parks and Rec Department.

We have been advised as far as Spring Season is concerned, Adult Football probably wont be getting any of the turf field on Sunday`s or for that matter any of the level 1 grass fields either this year or in the near future. Those fields will go to any youth sports first, then soccer, and lacrosse whatever is left we get on Sunday mornings.

The reason we get them for the night league in the spring is the youth leagues are generally off of them by 8PM, so we got lucky we got the turf fields that we do for the spring night league.

In addition there has been a large increase in Sunday mornings in soccer leagues and teams, particularly in the Adult Male Spanish leagues, and they get priority in the Spring over any football.

Tom and I have been told that both the league will get priority for turf fields in the fall season, all we can do is hope that is true.

We played 2 games at hook Sunday. I`ve been in this league with Pain for a good while now... since the start, refs have missed calls here and there or made bad calls.... it happens, and most times if you TALK to the ref and not scream out how he sucks... in my experience, they`ll either explain the rule and why they called it or they`d apologize for the missed/bad calls.... but in the end, as WE tell our team, the refs don`t score on your defense, the refs don`t intercept your passes and return them for touchdowns, the refs don`t miss flags, miss blocks or get beat in coverage... YOU do that... so in the end, if your team did what they were supposed to do, it wouldn`t matter what a ref called or didn`t call..... its football, find a way to win... go hard or go home... Ive never gave refs props when we win games so how can I believe they are the cause of us losing games...
