Recap
Apr 18, 2010 7:31 PM | | ; |
The Wolves started the game with 6. So they had to kick off to start both halves. They got 8 people by the end of the first half, but the score was already 18-6 Scavs. A couple plays into the second half the Wolves center pulled a hammy and had to leave the game. The Wolves managed to shut down the Scaves. with only 7. They also scored 21 unanswered points with 7 to win the game.

you right they had 6 at the start of game. but before they kicked off they had 8 people. the Scavs score 6 and the wolves came back and score 6 in oone play one offense. they Scavs score two more TDs before half. the wolves shutdown the scavs offense in the second half. but with 6mins left in the game the wolves lost one of their players but they were on offense. the scavs stop them and had 2mins left in the game. they turn the ball over with 45 second left in the game. they drove the ball down to the 5 yard line and scored and made the score 20-18.. with one sec left the Scavs was trying to make something happen by pitching the ball and got it picked off and thge wolves score again.. the Wolves had 8 people and the Scavs had 9 so the game was a good game but the Scavs give them the game!!!!

Wow. The Wolves definitely started with 6. The fat guy they had came running onto the field right at kickoff. The 8th guy came in right before the first series (Wolves blew a TO to give him time to put on his shoes). Also, their 3 top receivers (no disrespect to the SPECTACULAR WR who caught a SPECTACULAR throw from his BACK) were either no shows (#5 (best hands in the league) and #9 (Mucsles McGee)) or injured (#1 (fastest old head in the league)). Scavs were missing what? 1 pass rusher?

Scavs Player

Not sure if these are Scavs players talking ish and making excuses but I hope not. We definitely gave that game away. I mean we were up two scores at the half and got the ball to start the second half. Not to mention we made a goal line stand and got the ball back with 2min left and couldn`t run out the clock. Credit the Wolves for making plays with only 7 people for the last 6 minutes of the game. It was still a great game. They scored the go ahead with 1 second left and it was like 3rd or 4th down.

Epic Comeback
Apr 19, 2010 11:56 AM | | ; |
7 players for the Wolves in the last 3-4 series. Scavs up 18-13. Scavs fail to kill the clock with next to last possession. Wolves get the ball at mid field with less than 2:00 to go & 1 time out remaining. March down the field. Burn the last time out with :06 to go, 4th and Goal at the 6. 5 players line up on the offensive LOS, 2 in the backfield, and 8 players on the defensive side of the ball. Delayed out route (more like a hitch & out, although that`s not really a route) 1 yard into the endzone (left side). Receiver falls on his back as he`s cutting out and the ball is thrown on a line to his back shoulder. THUD! 19-18 Wolves. Wolves go for 2 with 7 players. 21-18 Wolves. Scavs take the ball at the 20 with 8 players on the offensive side of the ball, Wolves line up with 7. Series of latterals and back passes. Wolves QB picks one off & takes it the opposite way. Ball game. 27-18 Wolves. Epic. Comeback.

Wolves comeback with only 7 players and not even their best 7! That`s beast. Scav`s are overrated and talk smack but kinda suck.

I don`t think its my players making these comments... hands down they were missing key players and we were missin key players.... having QB like Jermey on your team is a plus he knows how to when games so it doesn`t matter if its 8 on 8 or 7 on 8 he makes the right throws at the right time.
| |
|
Well....
Apr 19, 2010 12:41 PM | | ; |
When does the Scav`s QB start blaming his receivers for dropped passes again, or do they get to slam him for bad decisions or throws that could`ve run out the clock and seal the win? Hmmmm. What goes around comes around.

We have a good team just gotta play as a team the WHOLE game... both game we were up by two scores we just need to step it up on D.....

Great game to watch. IMO it came down to chemistry. A solid battle tested Wolves 7 came back to beat a very good but newly formed Scavs (Van`s timing vs. streaky receivers). Mike can`t do it all.
