How bout
Nov 01, 2009 12:19 PM | | ; |
some other teams get a chance to play on turf instead of hook road every week? All leagues (A, B and C) pay the same amount to play in this league, share the wealth so C teams aren`t always doing double headers or trying to scrap a team together on a weeknight just because of rain delays. There is no way soccer should be beating out football in this county during the fall season. So go ahead and post your gay comments trying to tell me why it is like it is, but it`s horse ****....and after I post this I won`t be checking the boards for the guys who sit on here and stalk the iffl message board to make ******ed comments...so enjoy.

I agree with ^^^ and it`s bull. The hook road field is garbage...it`s half baseball dirt and the other half bumpy patches of grass and dirt. It`s a ****ty field and noone ever plays on it unless their in C-league. And I don`t care about comments like `well you`re gonna have to improve and move up to the better leagues` because it`s still adult flag football, noone in it is a great athlete or you wouldn`t be part of some bull adult league you`d be playing in college or nfl or arena or whatever so spare me the `better athlete on better field` excuse because we are all just a bunch of mediocre old has-beens and pay to play....same amount of money should result in same use of fields!!!!

And C got some turf games too in the Spring. The fields improve every year, be patient and enjoy the game

thats garbage

this isnt the nfl there are no dues so get the f*ck over yourself. we`ll b patient when we pay less $. time has nothing to do with it. Its bullsh*t. nowhere does it state quality of play having anything to do with preference of field. either state it in the registration or rotate fields. thats f*cking c*nt sh*t

True

It honestly makes no sense. Same price should be same fields used. Maybe this is going on with other things, too. Is the A league getting all the good refs? That would explain all the awful calls at the C games.

This league
Nov 01, 2009 5:11 PM | | ; |
needs some competition. There needs to be another flag league in fairfax on weekends (saturday or sunday) so this league is forced to up their quality. America is about healthy competition, and there wouldn`t be people complaining about how this league was run if there was some solid competition forcing better quality. Most people have the same response every time...."stop whining." Getting old, try to come up with something else. An intelligent person can see this is a valid point by this guy, and it has nothing to do with "paying dues" to play on better fields. There are plenty of players in C that could easily compete in A, but don`t have the time to dedicate to flag football due to work, family...you know, LIVES...so they play in C just cause they love football and want to get out and play some ball on Sunday mornings. When your games are in jeopardy almost every week due to rain and it`s cause you`re always on the grass fields, it sucks, and those people deserve to play on turf as much as the wanna be college players.

They`re

out there. FXA, Manassas indoor league. This is still the best league, hands down.

Do a little research, there are other fairfax leagues and they are awful. This is by far the best league in the tri state area. Now entertain me some more with your crying.

what`s going to happen with the rest of the regular season games/playoff schedule...
| |
|
There are
Nov 01, 2009 8:38 PM | | ; |
no other fairfax leagues that play on sunday mornings regularly. Manassas league isn`t the same rules, it`s a contact league with thug life going on. FXA is a well organized league that focuses more on co-ed and even though there is mens league, they don`t always play sunday mornings. ....read what the guy said *******es. And did you just call this the tri state area...seriously, we have some people in this league that need education. Let me guess...DC is a state now, right? Wow, you`re excused from talking ever again.

Hey, "there are"
Nov 01, 2009 9:00 PM | | ; |
did you know that WV buffers VA and is not far from FFX. Also, PA buffers MD and is not that far from the DC area. So that would make the DC area a Quad-State area plus the District. Interesting!! Anyway, pick up a map and you`ll see.

get so petty. The point of this whole post is a real and serious issue that needs to be addressed to Tom. You make a valid point and lets stay off the board and contact Tom directly about this for the seasons to come.

not to be a **** but we have guys coming from WV, there is your third state
| |
|
Just because
Nov 02, 2009 9:51 AM | | ; |
you drive from a different state, doesn`t make VA, MD and DC a "Tri state" area. I don`t care if you flew in from FL. An example of a "tri state" area is where PA, WV and Ohio boarder each other.
To "Hey, there are", why don`t we just go ahead and add NY and NC, SC, GA, TN and say that they are all close to each other too.

Geography lesson

Everyone puts their maps away. Someone explain to me why C league pays the same amount of money for worse fields? Give me a real reason besides "Quit whinning."
| |
|
^^^^^^
Nov 02, 2009 11:12 AM | | ; |
I agree....Why pay the same amount if all leagues do not get the same amenities?
| |
|
Here is my guess
Nov 02, 2009 11:36 AM | | ; |
A gets the best field because the are the cream of the crop teams that will represent the IFFL in State and National tournaments.
B get second best fields because they are up and coming challengers to A teams to make this league better.
C get what`s left over because most of the teams will fold anyways and the others that do decent will move up a level or two to continue playing. Most of the C teams are just out there because their doctor recommended some exercise.
Summary: A and B teams that have been paying and the backbone of the league gets priority of 1 or 2 season C teams.

That`s a fine guess. If representing the league is that important then it makes sense.
Sooo why does C have to pay the same amount?
