the fields are in much worse condition than last year. dont bash the guy for complaining about the fields. to be honest, they arent very good. its not like hes refusing to play, just voicing his opinion. kinda sucks when we hear VFFA chumps applauding their astro-turf fields.

come on guys. When we were little, we played in parking lots and driveways.Just be thankful we have someplace to play.

The fields were lined a little wide and therefore were a bit rugged on the sidelines. Other than that the fields were fine. So shut up and play or stay home, take off your shoes, and get your whiney ass in the kitchen.

Some of the field conditions have a lot to do with the lack of rain the past 3 weeks. Yes, we got some over the weekend, but when the fields are that dry - whatever rain comes is quickly absorbed.

During the Spring though, it can turn the other way very quickly, and then if we have to cancel because the County closes fields - we`ll see posts about the fields not being all that wet.

We run that league too (FCFFL which is a weeknight VFFA league just like the IFFL). The trade-off there is that there is only room for 12 teams and they were out playing in 30 degree weather the first few weeks.

This year we got BC#7 for the Spring league. Last Fall we got Stratton Woods for the Sunday league. Next Spring we`ll add another superior field...just takes time and tenure.

i didnt intend to criticize any league officials. you guys do a great job. i was just pointing out that the fields are much worse than last year. i dont know the economics of the situation, but maybe our money could be spent better elsewhere.
