from the rules section on tie-breakers:
scenario#3 (Here`s where we have most of the confusion): three teams are tied for a position, there are no other teams with the same percentage, only 2 of the teams have played each other. In this specific scenario, head to head is not used as the first tie breaker, because one team has no head to head record. Teams are ranked first by over point differential. If two teams who have played each other get ranked in succession, THEN the head to head result could flip the positioning of those 2 teams.

What the above essentially say is that Vegas cannot leapfrog United (a team they have not played) just because they have the head-to-head over the Sharks.
If the Sharks had finished behind United, and just ahead of Vegas - then Vegas would have swapped places with them.

Winning % wise it is. Winning % = WINS / GAMES
A 3 and 3 record = 3 wins / 6 games = .500
A 3-3-1 record = 3.5 wins 7 games = .500

IF any of my players are the ones who wrote this post. You should of showed up for the game against PAIN and we might of won and made it to the A Playoffs. Talk to your teammates about that. Why should they leapfrog United. Every division has the top three teams going to the play offs so sharks would just not be in the A playoffs. It should be DM Badboys and VN. Or have a play in game.

For the record when I said you all should of shown up for the game I ment actually come to the game we only had six. Not to the six that came. IT was almost like a forfiet we had to use players from other teams. So in my book if you forfeit a game u don`t belong in the A playoffs.

in that case it should be United at #15 and Vegas at 16 i think. United should be in I agree but it should come down to Sharks and Vegas for # 16 therefore vegas has the tie breaker. Sounds to me like you are giving Sharks a free pass

There`s no free pass at all w/ playing DM. Basically we all got placed into one BIG league and went by records from there. Don`t matter either way to me, but that`s why when you click on overall standings ALL the teams are listed on there; but I can see the confusion! Also earlier someone said each division has top 3 teams going, there`s 4 divisions and that only equals 12, 16 teams in so why don`t you have top 4 from each division going then us and VN gets in and not United. All i know is if VN comes with the same squad they came with to play us, man it was like 30 of ya`ll out there! LMAO!! Good luck to everyone this weekend!

No so. If you can point out to me where I did not follow the league policy (as has been posted to the site since 2007) on tie-breakers, I will correct the mistake:

I think the confusion here comes from the assumption that the top three teams from each division made it to A. This is not true. The top team from each division made it and then following top 12 teams from the league made it. This put VN in a three-way tie with United and Sharks. Under the tie breaker rule Tom posted above, VN was the odd man out.

is the sharks are just not the same sharks anymore. They had a great run, but its over. Years ago, and I mean many years ago, they would be undefeated against much better comp than they play now. They can hang with most teams in this league these days, but thats about it. Most teams would just wish to be as good as they are right now though. Good run boys, you all use to be pretty good.

No excuses but would like to see some of those teams play in the Maryland league and see what they`re record is. No excuses being made but we don`t get our same turn out for our Sunday games as we do for our weeknight games. But we`ll see what happens, we take who can/wants to play and just go from there. But I`d put the top 4 in MD against the top 4 of any of the other open division for sure. D*mn struggling to get players now and we play DMOB in the AM, gonna see what happens! Good luck this weekend to everyone and hope all games are good w/o injuries!

Who the hell wants to travel to Reston. Riverview never gets rained out ever it could be raining cats and dogs and we still play. Stay in Va and stay dry you might melt. Oh yeah I forgot you think you might get carjacked, mugged, take a cheap shot or maybe its you`er afraid you would get your A$$ beat on the field. And its PLAYA fool. Plus we can set back and drink our 40Dez and smoke our blounts out in the cutt.
