After talking with the BRO official the IFFL will continue to enforce the posted rule modification of the skip rule. If any coach`s have any questions of the rules please go to the PLAYING RULES section. That means the ball will be allowed one skip for the QB to recover from the center`s snap before it is dead.

Sorry for any confusion

1) During a field goal or extra point when snapped from center the ball is now allowed to SKIP the ground and NOT be considered dead. What is meant by "SKIP" is one bounce, one hop. The ball is not allowed to be muffed to the holder or touch the ground more than once.

2) During a live play from scrimmage when the ball is snapped, the ball is now allowed to "SKIP" to the QB/RB and not be considered dead. What is meant by "SKIP" is one hop/bounce. The ball is not allowed to be muffed or hit the ground more than once. As explained in modification #1 if the ball hits the ground more than once it will then be considered dead.

What if the ball is trapped against the ground which was the case in a game last week that resulted in a big play because everyone thought the ball was dead.

Didn`t you guys clarify this at the begining of last week stating exactly the opposite. So the qb can now play the ball off one hop?

Why do we need this rule? It seems to fly in the face of football? Can anyone give a reason we need this rule?
