ANNOUNCEMENT:

;
A

The 4 Open division winners will be the #1 - #4 seeds.

After removing the division winners from the standings, the next 12 Open teams make the "A" playoffs in order of ranking (see rules page under league info for ranking procedure.)

On day 1, all "A" teams play 2 games: first round (1 v 16), (2 v 15) ... (8 v 9), and then quarterfinals; (1 v 16 winner) v (8 v 9 winner).

Day 2 (which could be 6/14 or 6/21 depending on what the final four coaches vote for) is the final four.

B

All the Open teams who do not make the cut for "A" playoffs (12 teams) will play in the "B" playoffs.

B starts on 6/14, with 4 of the 12 teams getting a first round bye. We`re going to do this randomly, and also randomly seed the B playoffs. Before someone objects to this go back and read the perenial "why is B done differently" thread from 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005...to see the same answer every time.

So 4 play-in games and 4 quarterfinals for B on 6/14, gets us to the B final four.

B will play its final four on either 6/21 or 6/28 (depending on when the A final four is).

C

Like "A", C will play its first round and quarterfinals on 6/7. The last place teams in each Novice Division will play "Bowl" game (their guaranteed 8th/postseason game).

1-8 from East will matchup against 8-1 from the West, i.e.

top bracket:

1E-8W plays winner of 4W-5E
3E-6W plays winner of 2W-7E

lower bracket:

2E-7W plays winner of 3W-6E
4E-5W plays winner of 1W-8E

C final four will be on 6/14 (if A votes to play final four on 6/21) or 6/21 (if A votes to play final four on 6/14).

Tom since the truth beat the wolfpack, are they on top for the tie breaker, if they beat collision and rhinos beat WP?

Tom,

With the rainout at baron cameron (BC#1) today, will there be any changes to the playoff schedule for C league?

Yes, C playoffs will start 6/14.

We`ll use 6/6 & 6/7 for the make-up games.

I might be missing something but aren`t there 29 teams in Open? I see you saying 16 teams go to the A playoffs and 12 go to the B playoffs. What about the extra team? Are they going to A or B Playoffs or am I missing something?

A league playoffs: Where is my team playing Sunday?

Seedings will come into better focus tonight, will be almost set Wednesday, and with Thursday determining the final seedings.

Wolves and DM have clinched the 1 and 2 overall seeds. The Wolves will hold the #1 seed if they win THU night, otherwise DM becomes the #1 seed and the Wolves drop to #2.

Wolves have elected to site their round 1 and quarterfinal bracket at ECL#2, DM has elected Riverview.

If the Wolves win THU, then the ECL#2 schedule for 6/7 will look like this:

8:00 [1] Wolves vs [16]
9:10 [8] vs [9]
10:20 (8:00 winner) vs (9:10 winner)

and the Riverview schedule will look like this:

10:10 [7] vs [10]
11:20 [2] DM vs [15]
12:30 (10:10 winner) vs (11:20 winner)

If the Wolves lose or tie, then 8,9 & 16 will play at Riverview in the DM bracket, and 7,10 & 15 will play at ECL#2 in the Wolves bracket.

Hook bracket: 9:10, 10:20, 11:30 [winners]
Lake Fairfax#1 bracket: 8:00, 9:10, 10:20 [winners].

There are technically still 5 teams in the Open East who could win the division, so I deleted the previous info here. I will wait until after tonight when things clear up to post the outlook and possibilities.

The #3 seed will pick Hook or Lake Fairfax for their bracket site, and #4 seed will get the other.

The only games set for now are Wolves and DM first (and second if the win) game, because regardless of where they end up (1 or 2) each wants a site the other does not.

I was holding off on Trick1 to see how they did against 2 Novice VA teams. Since they won both games, they are going to the B playoffs...so 13 teams in B.

re: Open playoffs;

The only 2 teams out of 29 with an undetermined playoffs are United and Banditos. If Banditos wins one of their final 2 games they are in the "A" playoffs and United in "B". If Banditos loses both games, United is in the "A" playoffs and Banditos are in "B".

So Tom, with 13 `B` playoff teams, are you going to have a play-in game to get to one of the other play-in games? And if so, would a team from that game possibly wind up playing 3 games that day instead of 2?

@ this juncture, I think it would be a good thing if you could tell people who posted what if they bring someone`s family onto the board. Not only was it not funny, but classless. That sir, is a$$whoopin material.
