The poll seems to be alot more accurate this week.
Lazy and the Lions look like the front runners for now.

Why are the Lions #2? They have played one game and they won 8-0. Is their #2 rank based on reputation? Give me a break.

This is for the jackass who wrote the second thread. Reputation is considered you fool. Look at their previous spring records, they havent lost a regular season game for the past 2 years! And for the new teams, you guys are a joke voting yourselves #1, thanks for ruining the poll!! The second poll is pretty accurate, except for the fact that CCR, Outcast, Going Deep, and Playmakers are behind Banditos. But thats just my opinion.

I have yet to see the Banditos, Scrubs or Outlaws? Are they for real?

All the teams mentioned are vastly overrated, check out the records of the teams they`ve beat.

Only 3 teams have voted themselves #1 this week donkey. None of them are NEW! You have Lazy(8) and the Lions(5) who are always in the hunt for the championship, and then you have the Banditos(3) who are 3-0 and trying to break into the top echelon of the league. How is the poll being ruined?

Well I heard that the Banditos busted the Lions ass in a scrimmage. I heard that they moved the ball up and down the field on them. But that is just what a little birdy told me. I don’t know how much truth is behind this, but it is something to think about. Maybe the Banditos are for real.

I`ve watched the banditos play. They are very athletic and have a strong Q with fast receivers. They are a bit untested as of yet. The games they won were against weaker opponents (although the did shut 2 of them out.) Next week`s game against the rhinos will tell more. In any case its good to have a new team shaking things up a little.

Fellahs, there just arent any dominant teams anymore....any one of the top 10 teams can win this...its fun to talk about, but the poll aint worth much at all...

Any one of the top 10 teams can win this-
Are you kidding me!!!
Ok Boys and Girls, I usually don`t comment on a bye week, but the previous post is out of his mind! No dominant teams anymore? What league are you watching, the California Penal? I could go on and on with records that say otherwise, but you seem to be just as stubborn as Wilbon!
Tell you what.....
I will take the 4 dominant teams you think don`t exist anymore (Lazy, Kilroys, Rhinos, NOVAs), and you can have the rest (that`s 35 teams!!!). I guarantee one of those 4 win the championship. We`ll put $100 on it, AND I will give you 2/1 odds.

Hmmm...
Have to agree with both of you. For one, taking 40% of the top ten teams isnt exactly walking out on a limb...if there is a dominant team, you should only have to pick one, right? Maybe 2? In the "pre parity" days there would always be 1-2 extreme favorites. Also, as much as I like the Rhinos, Lazy, etc. they are not in the dominant class of old. If you look at last fall`s A league, the Coyotes were a brand new team that had never played before, never practiced, and only had a couple of really good athletes, and they beat some of these "dominant teams" and took a couple of the others to the last possession. Then again, the notion that some of the #7-10 teams can win this probably isnt realistic.
Then again, the poll is just for fun/we will find out, won`t we?

Don`t judge Lazy by last fall. Lazy Q was hurt last fall but before that they won the Bark Bowl beating both Sharks&Kerns and barly lost the spring championship game last year. Novas beat the no2 team in the state 4 mo ago at states but barly lost to defending champ and they are always in the spring final four. Lions finished in the Fairfax A final four last fall they beat Lazy, Novas, and Plumber and they have not won a championship but were in like 5 of the finals in the last few years in the A bracket and if they had the old stats page up you can see that. Those are your dominate teams end of discussion. Rhinos I don`t know. They are a decent B team that played over there heads and made a good run last year.

LOL at whoever voted Banditos for #1.
Not even top 3 in the division they play in and might get just one more win all year.

No spin, if you do not know the Rhinos, how do you know "they are a decent B team that played over there heads and made a good run last year."

Lazy- beatible on any given day
Lions- very competitive bring your A+ game if you want to beat them
Novas- do not make many mistakes hard to beat
Rhinos- come on good B team at best

I have played against all these teams except Rhinos(but I have watched them many times) and here is my take:
1-Rhinos have a good D but QB not very mobile. If the Rhinos make it to the championship game again this year you can put them in that group. If not last year was a fluke.
2-Novas can be beat but not when you play them straight up. Just attack the weakness which is speed (they have none). They are not a come from behind team either.
3-Lions will do the job for you and beat themselves. Like the other post said they have never won anything aka the Buffalo Bills of flag. Bring your A+ game if its not the playoffs but don`t worry about them if its a playoff game.
4-Lazy can be beat by a smart QB with a good deep ball on target. They can only cover 20 yards downfield. You can rack up points on them pretty quickly with the right plays and ability.

To all who told Kornhieser paridy this, paridy that....
Looks like the rambling fool knows a little something about the IFFL!!! I believe his post states his case on the subject of dominant teams pretty clearly. I guess the subject of dominant teams is quite clear, based on the facts again this spring.

Not interested in the "parity" thing, but if what the previous person said ("to visitor"), I know which team lazy would rather not face if they beat the rhinos!

Um
Jun 11, 2006 10:17 PM | | ; |
If they were dominant, wouldnt they be 1,2,3,4 seeds finishing this off, all undefeated?
man, the definition of "dominant" seems to have changed...
besides, spring and fall are apples and oranges...the big dogs dont hunt until we play under the lights!
not trying to pick a fight, as your post was very friendly/just differing opinions, i suppose.

People lay off the crack pipes. Outlaws with a #1. Please they are in B. They get an F for brains. I see you have a few Kilroys players. It must rub off.
