You said `when he is on` but if he is a hot and cold kicker he is not the best.

no doubt

Mudd Dawgs and Rhinos kickers are the elite kickers of the league

is whoever started this thread is a good kicker looking for some patting on the back. I am not going to say kickers dont matter...I have seen too many pat`s missed. But this game is about going for the jugular, not kicking field goals...or even punts for that matter. Other than a kick with no time left on the clock, a kicker`s place is in the kitchen making rice krispie treats/not kicking field goals!!! On kickoffs, most good teams can get even the best kicks back to near the 19 yard line, so not a big deal there either...

I have seen many a game lost and one in the IFFL by a kicker. I can name a few games from week one.

I think our K would appreciate these comments. Thanks to all. I know Lazy Sundae has a good kicker too, I seem to remember the Scrubs also have a guy with a hell of a toe on kickoffs.

But kickers DO matter. Given the games won and lost by missed PAT`s, or even just a field goal. Not to mention the luxury of knowing you can get at least 3 pts when you`re facing 4th and goal from the 20. Any smart football guy would take that in a close game, rather than "going for the jugular"

I also like a guy that can kick it out of the endzone on occaision... that negates that downing the return at the 19 yd line play which effectively gives the receiving team 3 free plays (assuming they can get 1 yd for the 1st).

Keep the good posts coming fellas...

as long as there is over a minute left, I LOVE it when other teams kick field goals...I want the ball, b/c I am very confident we can go the distance...I guess it all comes down to team personality.

however, missed PAT`s have killed soooooooo many seasons it is ridiculous...
