Google Herdon Middle School.
Go to the McDonalds on Elden Street and park in their parking lot. Walk through the fence and you`ll be at the field.

the rain policy for the Grass Fields due to the amount of rain we have had this past week that pretty much has saturated the fields even though it may or may not rain on Sunday?

There really isn`t a `rain policy`. These fields are all controled by Fairfax County so the policy is if the fields are open we play. You just have to check the IFFL site here for closings. Often we won`t know till Sunday morning.

Some rules of thumb for IFFL Sunday fields.
If its raining more than a drizzle on Sunday morning:
Lake Fairfax#1 (turf) OPEN
ECL#2 (turf) OPEN
Hook (grass) CLOSED
Herndon (grass) CLOSED
BC#1 (grass) CLOSED
If the fields are wet from SAT rain late into the day:
Lake Fairfax#1 (turf) OPEN
ECL#2 (turf) OPEN
Hook (grass) probably OPEN unless soaked
Herndon (grass) MIGHT be OPEN
BC#1 (grass) CLOSED
If the field are really wet from multiple days of rain or heavy rain which stopped in the early hours of SUN:
Lake Fairfax#1 (turf) OPEN
ECL#2 (turf) OPEN
Hook (grass) MIGHT still be OPEN, depends on when rain stopped as Hook drains well.
Herndon (grass) CLOSED
BC#1 (grass) CLOSED
