The Sharks lost in the second round after holding a 20-6 lead. In fact, it could have been a 28-6 lead but a long catch and run by Tyson was called back on a penalty. That was to become the momentum turning point.
The Sharks should have won that game, and they are capable of competing with any team out here. I say capable bearing in mind they tied D-Mob back in the Spring league regular season. Capable does not equate to results - you need a few more things in place.
Bad Boyz....got on a roll the second half of their first game and started the liquid celebration during their second game. By the time their quarterfinal rolled around at 3:30 some of them were ready for a nap. They would have won and advanced to the semis if they had stuck to gatorade until after the games.
D-Mob looks very good this weekend. I watched most of their quarterfinal win against the defending champs from PA. The ground was frozen with a 1/2 inch coating of snow, and D-Mob baited Shoey`s into a game of "last one to score wins". The game came down to who could make a strategic stop when it counted the most and that was D-Mob, stopping Shoey`s on 4th an 10 at the D-Mob 30 with about 2 minutes left.
I`m off to the semis, and will be rooting for D-Mob (our Spring Champs & IFFL PG County regular season Champs) to win a National Championship. Don`t think I won`t mention it on the IFFL PG County site if they do! (Richmond can share with us)
