Who would you rather have on your team?

Michael Vick or Vince Young?

Man thats a good question. We haven`t seen Young play on the NFL level yet but what he did in college was more impressive then Vick. Vick is more of an athelete but Young as a great QB.

I would probably pick Young

On any given sunday, Vick can wow you...but he isnt a complete qb. Soon he we be identified as over-rated. Young is an absurd gamer who single handedly won a national championship against an incredible team on national tv.

sorry to all the hokie fans:

vick is a middle of the pack qb in the nfl.

Hmmm

I wouldn`t say Vick is over rated. He is a pure athelete. He is able to make big plays in a blink of an eye. My vote is VICK! GO HOOKIES

Ludacris. Texas was loaded as well, just not as well known.

Texas was beast that day. The game could of went either way though. Bush didn`t do much. Lendale White did more then he did. Vince was just able to make plays when he needed to.

Yes, but with the game on the line it was all Young.

Vick has had those moments too, but sometimes you need a qb that easily moves the ball when you are supposed to. With Vick, it seems that if you keep him from making the spectacular play (which teams are getting much better at doing) his marginal passing skills are exposed. You can look at his supporting cast, but KC is very similar and Green does very well.

Then again, what the hell do I know.

I am just glad that without our All Star game we found something to ***** about.

You give me Vince anyday. I agree with most of you when you say Vick is an OKAY QB. But I`m hoping he settles down and shows what he can do in the pocket (ie. McNabb and McNair). Both QB used to drop back and take off with the ball when a play needed to be made, but as they got older and understand the game more, they became very good drop back passers. They didn`t rely on running as much.

Young has a big arm and he also shows touch on his throws. That`s the missing element from Vick`s game. All his passes are on a rope and 100mph.

This is an interesting question, but it`s completely premature. There`s been a Lot of QBs who were the Bomb in college but it never translated into the pro game. Conversely, not having been a standout in colloge or in a big name bowl game doesn`t mean a player won`t be awesome in the pros. Vic`s problem with velocity is well documented, but his pro credentials are pretty good considering defenses are able to key on him because of Atlanta`s lack of other marquis offensive players.

United, Diesel and Green Machine QBs are all fast and elusive. United`s QB can scramble like a maniac but can`t drop deep passes. However Diesel and Green Machines QB has the fire power. Union`s QB is fast but not as fast as those who were just mentioned. Union`s arm is decent but most importantly he makes good decision. I haven`t seen Legends QB play yet but I see how low he likes to stand when he takes his snaps.

My picks would be(if I had to chose an asian QB):

1. United - Because he`s been in the game for a while and looks can be deceiving.

2. Diesel - Second pick because I saw what he did in the semi and finals. Most athletic of the asian QBs.

3. Green Machine - I saw him play in their finals and he was the team.

option attacks? Watch the Diesel highlight clip. #7 and #10 runs that play perfectly. When you have two fast people in the back field, its scary to defend.

Gimme a break...Did Vick get Heisman consideration (outside of VA), two major bowl victories, one being a National Championship?

I know you Hokies get the biggest boner for anything Va Tech... but really.... Tech has one game a year - and that`s against Miami... after that it was poo-poo`s on parade in the not-so-Big East.... Rutgers, Temple, WVA,... Right here is where a Syracuse fan pipes in.. but they haven`t been hot since McNabb graduated.

im tired of vick...it`s time matt shaub took some snap. he`s the better qb of the two and probably run a better offense. vick`s only good for marketing purpose; he`s not qb. he might be best at wr or corner.

"Gimme a break...Did Vick get Heisman consideration (outside of VA),..."

Third place in 1999 as a freshman. Left after injury riddled sophomore year.

"... two major bowl victories, one being a National Championship?"

1-1 in bowl games. Lost national championship in 1999 to FlaSt and won Gator Bowl in 2000. Lost two games in two years - to #1 FlaSt in 1999 and #3 Miami in 2000.

And to those who think Vick stinks or Schaub is better - ever wonder why you`re not an NFL personel guy?

Vick leads the league in missing open receivers. The passes are either too high or at the guy`s feet. If you take away Crumpler, his completion rate is 40%, max. Not saying he isn`t exciting, just not a good QB. Marcus would be a better QB if he wasn`t such a screw up.

I`ll take a pocket passer any day over a running qb. Neither one should be a qb. However, they both are phenominal athletes. I want to see what other positions they could play.

First off.. Vick`s freshman year was when he was 3rd in Heisman, that was right behind Ron Dayne (Wisconsin) and Joey Hamilton (GaTech)... that`s some exclusive club there... I`d offer that 1999 was a down year for college football.

Second, I was refering to Vince Young when I was referring to two major bowl victories, one being the Nat`l Championship. If I remember correctly, Vick played in one BCS/Nat`l Championship bowl, and two Non BCS Gator Bowls - but got it handed to him, not one - but two times, Seminole style 2000 and 2002. Tech did beat Clemson in `01, so congrats, Vick went 1 and 2. I don`t wanna hear about the heisman hype of his injured year in 2000. Maybe if he stayed in the pocket, he wouldn`t get injured as much. Ever think about that?

Vince on the other hand won two BCS`s both Roses - one being last year`s NC. He also came in third in Heisman voting too (whoppee-do!) And amassed 3,000 yds passing and 1,000 yds rushing in his final season as a `horn. It took Vick almost his entire college career to match those totals. And in this reporter`s opinion, I`d offer that Young did it against a tougher level of competition than what Vick faced during his college career in the Big Easy. Vick has yet to even come close to those numbers in a single season in college or as a pro.

It`s time to bust this myth that Vick is a great QB, especially as a pro. Consider these facts (and hopefully wise up):

His career high in TD`s is a whopping 16 - Gus Frerotte, Kerry Collins, Joey Harrington and Trent Dilfer are just a few QB`s that have surpassed that mark.

Vick has missed at least 1 start in every season as a pro.

81.6 - highest QB rating as a pro. To give that some perspective, we all know the year Favre had last year.. well that was a 74.9. Manning`s best year was in 2004 as a 121.1.

Vick has only led the Falcons past the .500 mark in 2 of his 5 seasons.

Vick his 2 and 2 in playoff experience with both losses coming to Philadelphia.

And finally, last year says it all - 15 TD`s and 13 pickles.

Well
