United Vs. Pain-
Most intriguing match-up of the first round with Pain having a rough stretch and ending up squeaking in with the 4th seed. I`m looking for this to be an upset game with Pain taking it 17-14
PKL Vs Psquad-
PKL is one of the most athletic teams across the oard n the league and their overall team speed will be to much for PS in this one. PKL 28 -PS 10
Hokies Vs Outlaws
The Hokies who have quietly snagged the #2 spot in the National are in for a fight against a big Outlaws team. I see this as a one sided affair with the Hokies being unable to block the Outlaws D-Line. Outlaws win 20-10
Pens Vs Diesel
Which Diesel team will show up? Only time will tell but I believe to continue their one and done streak alive i the playoffs losing to the Pens 14-7

OK here are my picks:
United (obviously) We`ve met before and always have good games. 14-7
PKL - PS is overmatched here
Outlaws - Hokies have no chance against this veteran team 21-10
Diesel - Pens have never seen an offense like this 28-7
Final four will have 3 American teams and show true dominance.
Finals prediction - United v. Diesel

My picks:
United v Pain - Depends on which Pain team shows up. They get everyone there and I think United goes home early.
PKL v P-Squad - PS will play this tougher than most people think they will. PS does a good job containing a scrambling QB, the question is whether they can do it on offense. I say they do and take PS by a field goal.
Hokies v Outlaws - Hokies QB is nasty with his feet, but until today they hadn`t beaten anyone with a winning record. I`d also say while the Penetrators probably didn`t give this game away, I`d bet they may have taken it a little bit easier than normal. Outlaws win by 2 scores.
Diesel v Penetrators - As long as Diesel`s full squad shows (the new Pain??) they`ll handle the Penetrators. Especially when you consider #10 on Diesel is probably the only guy in the league who can hang speed-wise with the Pens` #0.
Semi-Finals
Pain v P-Squad - Pain wins going away.
Outlaws v Diesel - Diesel.
Finals
Diesel v Pain - Pain pulls it all together and sends Diesel home.

but PS is outmatched in every category and I am sure next week, they will wish they were in the "B" playoffs as they would have a chance to win that one. PKL is just way to strong. Hokies/Outlaws game will be close, to close to call. I would say the score will be 13-10, whomever. I agree with you on the other games, though.

That`s fine, we can`t agree on everything. But as far as the Hokies/Outlaws game goes I truly believe the Outlaws D-Line will be too much for their O-line, and they`ll be disciplined enough to contain their QB. The only thing that could hurt the Outlaws would be if the wrong QB is playing.

go to the overall rankings page, thats how the playoff seeding "should" work. You cant use American League Seeding and National League Seeding then match up one American League Seeded against a National League Seeded Team. If an American League Team needs to play a National League Team then you MUST use the overall seeding to START damn.... I am sure Tom has this all figured out, right?

Win/Loss/Ties have nothing to do with rankings? I beg to differ. Simple math, your record is 4-2-1 and the other guy has 1 more loss, you would be ranked higher. That simple. Now if we were taliking playoffs than I give you that, but I was talking overall rankings and you analyzed it the wrong way.

I`ll give props to Hokies for making some noise in their second season in the B league and PS for making some noise in their first season after moving up considering people, I included, counted them out in the beginning of the season. But I just don`t think they`ll be able to do much in the B+. Hokies might be able to do something, especially against Outlaws, if their offense gets going. It all depends on their QB.

Go to the Overall Standings page and you will see rankings regardless of division. Which is based on wins/losses/ties/points etc. Now under your logic the rankings should go National Team then American team, then National Team then American team all the way down to 20. Explain the below, if you agree then why is PS 7th and Pain is 8th?

Per the pinned announcement from october 7, 2008:
The top 4 from each division will go to the "B+" playoffs, next 4 to the "B", and the bottom 2 from each B division will play in a 4-team consolation tournament
If we ranked according to overall standings, then one division would have 5 teams in B+ and the other would have 3 - so overall ranking is not used to determined seedings.

Here is the scoop you snitches:
Pain - will beat United, as an above poster mentioned they are much bigger, younger and faster then United. I almost predicted the upset of United/Outlaws but United squeaked out the winner. Have you seen the Pain QB, fast, fast, fast. Pain 24-10
PS - The newcomer to the league beats PKL in a squeaker. PS had a wake up call this week against one of the best teams in the league that just had a slow start. They`ll hold onto this one 21-20
Outlaws - The veteran team wins here against the Hokies. Outlaws probably should have beaten United this week.
Pens - Did you see the stinker Diesel has put up the last three weeks? This team is not worth the hype, Diesel 14 Pens 21

How does PS squeak out a win over PKL? No one has scored over 14 points in a game vs PKL. Not to mention PS offense has some trouble in the scoring department... 82 total points... Where PKL`s defense has only allowed 60 points all season, including two high scoring offensives. I will give PS credit on their defensive stand for the minimal points they have allowed, 66. Meanwhile the offense of PKL has put up 170 points... Trying to figure out the logic. Seems to me that Mr. Marino is picking all upsets in the hopes that one is correct... I would place my money on another game.

This should be a good game, but I think that if you play as a team, you win as a team.. so I’m going to have to pick United in this one, with the caveat that Pain has playmakers and sometimes in big games that`s all it takes.

PKL Vs PS
PS matches up okay in this one, but having said that... I still think they are a little out of their league in the B+ playoffs. So, no doubt PKL takes this one, they have team speed and work as a team.

Hokies Vs Outlaws
The Hokies are a team that I have seen personally in the past and I`m not surprised at all to see them make the run they have so far. They have a pretty solid team and a playmaker at QB, if Outlaws doesn`t contain him then it could get ugly. However, Outlaws have experience and should game plan correctly, so this game is probably the closest of the week and comes down to the wire.

Pens Vs Diesel
Just like Portly said, "Which Diesel team will show up?", but I would like to add Which Pens team will show up? Guess we won`t find out until the first drive of the game. So for the sake of analyzing this game lets just assume both team show up full strength and ready to play. I like Diesel, who has speed in areas that will hurt the Pens. While on the other hand Pens have speed at positions Diesel should be able to neutralize.

Actually, the PS/TF game still hasn`t been recorded, and once it has PS would not be in the Top 8 overall, but that`s not what matters. They finished in the top 4 of their division, so they deserve to be in the B+ playoffs.
Now I think the guy who said they don`t belong more than likely meant that competition wise, they really didn`t fit and would be an easy first round bye for whoever plays them.

The key to winning games is not missing flags. Teams will have plenty of opportunities to get to United`s QB, but if you don`t pull his flags he will single handidly beat you. Their passing game is not strong, it`s the QB making defenders miss all day and either running for the 1st/TD, or then finding a sitting receiver.
