ANNOUNCEMENT:

;
Regular season for "B" ends on 10/19 with week 7.

The top 4 from each division will go to the "B+" playoffs, next 4 to the "B", and the bottom 2 from each B division will play in a 4-team consolation tournament (only the winner gets a team trophy for that).

On 10/26 there will be: (4) "B+" quarterfinals, (4) "B" quarterfinals, and (2) B consolation semifinals.

On 11/2 we`ll have the B consolation championship and (2) B semifinals, (2) B+ semifinals.

On 11/9, the B & B+ championship games.

For C, the 9/7 postponed games are added to 10/26, and the C playoffs will start 11/2 with the #1 seed getting a bye and the other 6 playing quarterfinals.

FIRST ROUND C LOSERS will drop to a consolation bracket (keep in mind we guarantee 8 games and C only play 6 regular season games).

On 11/9 C semifinals (both consolation and championship bracket), and on 11/6 championships.

For the A, playoffs start 11/9 with quarterfinals, and conclude on 11/16 with the final four (semis and championship on same day).

Hey Commiss (TOM), what happens if you end up with numerous teams sitting with a 4-3 regular season record, which could happen. Will it be based on who beat who?.. Just wondering...

I believe tie breakers are head to head then point diff.

It goes head-to-head then AVPD

If (2) teams are tied, then its head to head first. If there was no head to head game, then its pt diff. If point diff is tied, then its least points allowed.

If (3) or more teams are tied, first check head to head and rank according to head to head record within that grouping, i.e. (2-0), (1-1), (0-2). If all teams are tied head to head then pt diff, then lowest points allowed if still tied.

Tom,

How does the 3 or more team situation work when the number of games played within the grouping is different. For example, assuming that the Outlaws will play Larry`s as their last game of the regular season the possibility exists to have four 5-2 teams in the B American Divison:

Outlaws (5-2) - Assuming a loss to Larry`s and a win over United in their last two games.
Diesel (5-2) - Assuming win over the Arsenals in final game.
Larry`s (5-2) - Assuming wins over Outlaws and Nighthawks in final two games.
Practice Squad (5-2) - Assuming win over Franchise in final game.

In this situation you are supposed to go to best overall H2H record within the grouping, right? So:

Larry`s (2-0) - Beat Diesel, assuming win over Outlaws
Practice Squad (1-1) - Beat Diesel, lost to Outlaws
Outlaws (1-2) - Beat Practice Squad, lost to Diesel, assuming loss to Larry`s
Diesel (1-2) - Beat Outlaws, loss to Practice Squad and Larry`s

So what now? You`ve got 4 teams and 3 spots for B+. Two of the teams played 2 games in that grouping and 2 of them played 3 games.

Do you go to the two team tiebreaker for each grouping (2 games/3 games) at that point or do you go with overall winning pct?

Assuming the first option, that means Larry`s would be in and PS out (Larry`s with the higher AvPD, at least right now) and Diesel would go in over the Outlaws (H2H). Then the Outlaws would get in over PS due to H2H?

The second option would give Larry`s (1.000) and PS (.500) B+ berths and eliminates Outlaws because of their loss to Diesel.

Confused? Me too....

You had to bring that up....

First (as you did in the hypothetical) split the teams into groupings based on record - so Larrys and Practice Squad would be in B+.

Then take the (2) 1-2 teams and treat them as tied for the 3rd position irregardless of the other 2 teams with the same actual record: look first for head-to-head, which Diesel owns, so Diesel is in B+ and outlaws in B.
