I should have all the kinks worked out by tomorrow. As you may read in another post, we`ve had 2 teams drop from and are taking one more into the "A".
This matters to other divisions because it affects field space. I would not want to schedule a 12:40 game at Hook then have to move that game elsewhere after the fact to cover an open slot.

Unless you want to dissect each word, "should" "kinks" "tomorrow" etc. I understand that you never said you would "post" the schedule "tomorrow" but I think it was ass-u-me-d.

Tom does an outstanding job, but with the schedule....it`s another story.
Many players have families, and can`t just "block out Sunday from 8am-1pm." With all due respect, this really needs to get worked out.

b*tching you babies. you play in a sunday morning football league. i think you can assume that you`ll be playing on sunday morning each week during the season. tom plans, runs, schedules hundreds of games for several leagues each season (FOR NO PROFIT) and still runs them all better than any league in the area. he got screwed by having 2 teams drop out this week and a bunch of field permit issues from a difficult county.
TOM HAS A FAMILY TOO AND ISN`T BEHOLDEN TO YOU AND YOUR FRAGILE SCHEDULES...IF YOU CAN`T DEAL WITH IT QUIT OR RUN YOUR OWN LEAGUE. IF YOU DON`T WANT TO, SAY THANK YOU, AND GO ON YOUR WAY...

This has less to do with "blocking" your Sunday mornings for a "service oriented" contract. Yes "quit" this is a contract, Teams PAY to play and expect "minimal" service. Hey loser, there are some people that actually have families, work, etc.....and need to plan the weekend, even Sunday mornings. Just because you are a loser with no life, it doesn`t make it acceptable for the league not to have a schedule available for the teams/player.

The league now runs itself! All Tommy has to do is insert Team A here and Team B there. He has been doing it long enough. It is not like starting a new league, so he does not have to re-invent the wheel.

So "quit" what team are you playing this week and where?
How do you think you will do against the team you are playing?
How do you plan on stopping the scrabbling QB that team x has?
How do you plan on stopping the spread O?
This has LESS to do about blocking some time on a Sunday and more about KNOWING who we are playing and where.
BTW, did you know we have players and teams that drive 50+ miles to play in this league.
Is it really too much to ask for a schedule for the season, we are going into week 3?

Not sure about you, but I play flag football in Fairfax, VA. I`m not a D-I college player or in the NFL. heck..i`m not even playing High School ball anymore. I show up, line up against the other team and play some ball. Oh, and my team wins much more often than it loses...
If you`re driving 50+ miles, then you`re probably getting up early every Sunday and hitting the road about the same time each week. When the schedule comes out 2-3 weeks in advance, I`m thinking you`re man enough to adjust by an hour or two. Again, my logic just overpowers you whining pansies

I understand that some people have the ability to have an open schedule the entire Sunday morning. However, there are a number of people who play in this league that have outside commitments (family, job, church, etc).
Tom does an outstanding job running this league, but when he states the `kinks` will be worked out (4 days ago) and the schedule is still not complete, it is very tough for many players with a family/job/church to commit to playing in this league.
Not crying, just looking for a reasonable time frame.

My only comment is to post a schedule for this weekend at the very least. Dont commit to the full schedule if its not ready, but throw something out there for this weekend.
At the very least this will give the coaches the opportunity to keep their respective teams informed.

Get a grip, this is total bs. It`s already 2 weeks into the season and there is STILL no schedule???? What a total joke. Add the fact that there are field permit issues, and this league has taken a serious step back. Tack on the fact that there is STILL no word from ANYONE running the league, about when the actual schedule will be up.....nice job keeping everyone posted.

all i hear is we have family, work, church. blah, blah, blah. you know what? family, work and church should come before flag football. why don`t you schedule those first and fit football into your remaining schedule.

Do you not get it? Just because you can block out Sunday morning doesn`t mean everyone else can. There are numerous people with families. It`s simple, post a schedule like EVERY other league does, so the players and teams can plan their weekends around the football games.
It`s actually funny that you continue to ride try and argue this point. The fact is, it`s over 2 weeks into the season and nobody knows when/where/who they are playing! This is awesome!

I`ll play commish for a second. "Guys, I`m working on the schedule, there are a few teams that dropped, permit issues, and some teams that can`t play on certain days. I am working hard to get the schedule in order. This season has been difficult for the above reasons. Patience is a virtue."
