Yeah, figured. I realize how nasty metal baseball cleats can be, but have never used the metal tipped football cleats.

I dont see those metal studs being a problem .. as long as their not sharpened like baseball cleats .. baseball cleats are supposed to dig in dirt for better traction .. those are football cleat studs .. not tipped like baseball .. those shouldnt be a problem but if the rules are no metal whatspever .. then no metal

Nah, I don`t ever want to hurt someone. I was just frustrated at how quickly the rubber/plastic cleats were wearing down.

Try dropping a few and the plastics will last a little longer.

metal tips
Sep 09, 2008 9:40 AM | | ; |
the under armour metal tiped cleats are not illegal. the rules says metal cleats ie. like baseball. If any of you have worn or seen these cleats then you would know that they are no more dangerous than regular srew-ins. I`ve worn them for the past 4 seasons and there has never been any problems. I ware them now and so does half the league. Bundy if you want to ware them then ware them.
| |
|
seen them

metal tips

Bundy don`t be fooled . The metal tips will ware down if you walk on pavement. While they look metal it`s only a soft thin metal cap/ tip over plastic so they will ware down.

The continued use of the word "ware" in the above context is forbidden. Please use the correct word "wear". Examples include: * Bundy, if you want to wear them then wear them. *...over plastic so they will wear down.
Just trying to help. Ding.
