Like we did last week, we`re adding a 5th game to two fields (Hook and Mt. View) and moving a game from each Baron Cameron field to one of those locations. In the vacant Baron Cameron slot on each field we`re inserting a make-up game (four double header teams) from BC from 4/23.

As a consequence your game at Baron Cameron might have been moved back or up an hour - so please check the schedule.

All previously scheduled games at Hook are pushed back 30 minutes later (since the insert game is going into the 8:00 slot).

Previous Mt. View#2 game times are unchanged since we can use that field until 2:00, the insert game (Goin Deep - Smashers) starts at 12:30 after the last Novice game there.

This Sundays changes do not affect as many teams as last week schedule-wise. I will email all coaches tomorrow with return recpt request, and I will call those coaches Thursday who I do not get a return recpt from.

After Sunday, all teams will have at least five games played which sets the stage for all the double headers a week from Sunday (5/21), and the WED night make-up games on 5/24. We squeezed almost every ounce of our field permits and then some to get all the remaining games scheduled.

Tom,

Thanks for the heads up. One minor point: the revised schedule has our game at 12 Midnight. Thx.

For those that can play on mothers day altering times this close when people had already made reservations around the games is a real pain in the ass. My .02 And yes, I have offered to help out with the league but no on has ever called me.

I know it sucks, but I did not get enough teams to play on WED nights to avoid having to insert these extra Sunday games, and those games must be played before next Sunday (5/21) or else we`d have teams playing three games in a day. I offered all teams the option to play WED night if their opponent agreed, but only got one email about it. The offer still stands. If your team wants its SUN 5/14 game moved to WED 5/17 at night have your coach contact me or reply to the email going out today.

Anthony,

Your game is at midnight on Sunday. Please make sure to have your whole team there on time, otherwise you will get a forfeit.

Or alternatively, maybe don`t give Tom such a hard time, he`s doing a solid job rescheduling everything. You know your game is at noon, so don`t be a jackass.

OK my bad

I`m hoping Bob Ryan is wrong but in the event of a rain out this weekend, will we be making up the last games or will we go straight into the playoffs with current standings...

Better be

We better have a makeup!! The cost to play is already outrageous.

And I like the idea of getting rid of the slaughter rule. If this league is based on points we should play the complete 60 minutes.

Don`t forget, there are regular season games scheduled for 5/21 and 5/24 as well.

If 5/14 games are rained out they will be rescheduled for 6/4 and 6/7, and playoffs will start on 6/11.

If 5/24 is rained out we`ll play those games on 6/11 and start the playoffs on 6/18 - finish on 6/25.

If you think its outrageous that you pay $40 more to play than you did 3 years ago, consider that that our costs to run the league have gone up more than $40/team since then.

There are other leagues that charge more, a few that charge less. Some counties charge leagues more, some charge less. We`re way below what the market will bear. We look at what we need per team to cover costs and league administration and take it from there.

We`re pretty good with retention, and we always have a waiting list once we hit our team limit. If you think we`re in this business to make money, we`ll let you talk to our wives for their opinions of our use of free time. More than anyone else, they know and understand why we do this. If they didn`t - we`d be single.
