1 - If it`s first and goal from inside the 5, doesn`t that mean you can play bump as a CB and jam the receiver in the endzone?

2 - If the QB throws the ball to a receiver, and the receiver is bobbling the catch can a defensive player push, grab his hands, etc to prevent him from making the catch? or will there be a penalty of some sort called?

I`m certain that you can jam the WR within 5yds no matter the spot of the ball on the field.

Basically your asking if you can lay a WR out after he has made contact with the ball? Every DB would if this was legal in flag. This will get you flagged everytime, possible a fist in yo face. AS a DB I recommend going after the pic or just grab the WR`s flag. Keep the game clean. No cheap shots!

I don`t think he means "cheap shots" by decking or laying the guy out per se, but if a WR is juggling a ball, as a DB you`re not going to wait to see if he catches it, and even if you do pull his flag, it`ll be where he catches it if he does.

i`m not sure, but it`s a good question though

if the wr is juggling the ball, i say grab his hands. but it has to be cleary a situation where the ref can see it or you may get penalized for it.

1st and goal from the 5, you can jam for 5 yards so no contact in the endzone.

I guarantee you`ll get flagged if you physically touch a WR while he`s trying to make a catch. Swat the ball or pull the flag.

If you go for the ball and then make contact you are ok. However it also can make a diffrence what refs you have and what kind of mood they are in.

how about 1st and goal from the 2 - u get three yards in the endzone? or does it stop at the goal line?

and that ref thing is really true - no consistency at all

the fact that the refs matter as much as they do is sad. I`m sleepin on ever getting a good, consistent ref crew.

if the wr is bobbling the ball. u can swipe at his hands. its just like the no pass interferance if the ball is tipped rule.
