Since there are a lot of people who think the rising C teams don`t have a chance in B, I pose this question. Which of the 4 teams do you think will have a winning record and/ or are the most ready for the move up to B?

You forgot...

Depending on which division they will land in, I would likely vote none of the above as well.

As Tom stated they will be playing in the B division and I believe they all will have a chance to win. I looking forward for them to doing well so you Open league players will start showing some more respect for our teams that move up after having a winning season.

None of the above is the right answer. 3 teams moved up from C league last season. All had good winning records in C. None had winning records in Open. Hokies had best regular season record, and only won against 2 teams this season. Penetrators didn`t even make B playoffs. NTAC was the only moderate showing by a former C team this season after winning the C championship last season, and even they didn`t finish 0.500

This happens every season. C league teams are new, they talk a big game because they whoop up on other new teams, then they move to the Open league and are lucky if they finish 0.500. Some of the more respectable ones keep trying and improve and eventually they become competitive in the league. Others, try a season or two and quit, or disband/merge.

I`m not dissing C teams, nor am I saying that they don`t have a chance (eventually) to become competitive teams in Open league. Just don`t expect to move up and win in your first season in Open.

I agree. I think it`s going to be an adjustment period no matter what team steps up. Of the 3 teams mentioned, I believe OITS was the most athletic overall. Both them and the Hokies have quick QBs who probably made a big difference in their winning a few games this year. And The Penetrators were close a lot of times this year, just never quite there. I believe in the future, all 3 teams can be successful in the Open division.

Of the teams going up this year, I`d wager none of them having a winning season either. But, the big factor will be the number of teams in B. As Tom has already alluded to, the number of teams in B will be more than A or C, and that will give the new teams a small advantage. They`ll get to play some of the weaker teams that they might have a shot against.

I currently play in the open league and I guarantee that one of these teams will have a winning record. Next season the top 2 teams will be in the A league, this leaves things wide open where there is a lot of parody.

Not to be a complete******but I think you meant parity. A parody is a spin off of an original work meant to poke fun at it. IE the Scary Movie series.

Looking at the TA playoff run, they barely beat the bottom open league team that was in the C playoff. I dont know if that means much being that a win is a win, but if you struggle with a winless team, that means your bound to struggle with a perenial open team. Just my 2 cents.

I`ll take that two cents and turn it into millions because no C team will be successful next year....bet the farm on it.

if you think QH will be competitive, what about the teams that beat them or finished ahead of them?

I didn`t see any of the other teams play. But the key word here is competitive. I`m not saying they`re going to run away with the B or win their division but I do think they will be very competitive. And I think that should be every team`s goal that moves up is to first be competitive and then once you see that you can compete then you add to your roster with the hopes of then being very successful.

Locs - thanks for the shot out and vote of confidence. We`ll continue to improve as a team and hopefully be able to compete in the B division next season.

Congrats again to TA and best of luck to all teams next season.

Only time will tell. I`m not going to say the teams moving up will either succeed or fail. I believe that any of the Novice teams moving up or any of the lower seeded Open teams can put up a winning season and become champions of the B division. Good luck to all! And for all you self-proclaimed A league ballers, don`t you remember what it`s like to build a team from scratch and compete with the big boys? It`s not going to be an easy task, but that`s part of the satisfaction we get from acheivement. We can`t expect all these teams to come out perfect and win all games and compete in the Open.

To Vote #5, we don`t talk trash on this msg board about how we`ll do well in the open. We got spanked twice won a couple, and made all our other games close. Our qb had ACL surgery 3 months before the start of the season and rehabed hard to play by the season opener, so screw those guys who have been dissing on him all season, lets see you come back from an ACL that quick. anyways our season is over now we lost in a close one to United today, hope we kick butt in B next fall.

with the teams in the poll, something tells me that they will be less then .500, however, I will go out on a limb and predict Acid Reign, and they will Reign on everyone`s parade and not only have a winning record but go undefeated, just like O`Bama will in November. Whose with me??
