I heard Dietze beat Penetrators with only 7 players. Does anyone else agree that any of the top A teams could beat the low level B teams and top C teams 7 vs. 8? Inquiring minds want to know.

don`t be so sure "definitely bet on the shorthanded A team". CN`s pass rush is too good to neglect protection, so the A team would have to go with 1 less WR. CN should have no problem covering 3 WRs with that pass rush.
it would be close and the A team would probably come out on top, but don`t act like it would be a blowout.

Team America over 75% of the A teams. There are 2 guys on that team that would beat any A leaguer if a 40 and/or 100 yard dash, good luck to whoever has to cover them. A leaguers also boast bigger linemen,the bigger the better right?? They`re about as hard to get away from as a 2 year old.

I`ve seen Wolves(Lions), Deitz(quite a few times), even the Sharks(a playoff game) show up with 7 guys and beat other OPEN LEAGUE teams convincingly. What makes anyone think a C League team could beat them?You think its easy to get around some of those lineman let me tell you that you might have a shot if you line up 10 yards off rush 10 yards down the field and then loop back to the QB but by that time the ball is gone and it just might be that lineman you rushed wide on who is taking it into the endzone while outrunning your safety.You have no idea what your talking about but its not worth arguing about this since next year you will see for yourself.

What I don`t think a lot of people realize is that most of the teams in the open division are there because they`ve played together a long time, have good chemistry and do all the fundamental things you have to do to win consistently. The dominant open teams are the ones who do all that plus have athletic talent.

Instead of All-star games (and if we wrap up the season on 6/22), on 6/29 at Hook we could run C-Champ playing with 8 vs A-Champ playing with 7, C-runnerup playing with 8 vs B-Champ playing with 7. That way we`re dealing with a few teams for logistics, not 60+ assorted players.

The transition from C to A is similar to the transition from college to the Pros. Sure the C league probably have some A level quality players, just like the college elite who go to the next level into the pros. The main point I`m trying to make is that the speed of the game in the A league is definitely on another level then C. Not individually speaking...but OVERALL!

Im not going to argue with that cuz I havnt played in an A league yet, but lets be realistic at the end of the day its the same game most of us grew up playing on the street/fields plus flags thats all. Lets not get too big headed just cuz some play in a higher division, they just have more chemistry as a team and might have one or two faster athletes its not that big of a differance other than the chemistry. I guess what im trying to say is its FLAG FOOTBALL so dont compare it to a major college team and the NFL.

haha, I feel you on that BS. I played with Armada aka Arsenals in C last spring and I remember all that hate from the A and B league guys. It`s kinda like Varsity hating on the Frosh and JV squads. In the end man, everyone is just out here to play some ball and have fun. Everyone starts somewhere

I haven`t seen Team America play yet this year, but in my experience (and we all know I have several seasons in C) nobody gets to 3-0 without some skill. Good luck to them the rest of the way. I hope we`re battling for the #1 seed on June 1st.

C teams are meant for building a squad, developing as a team, and getting a grasp of the way these games are played. Eventually we would all like to move up (ready or not) and compete on a higher level. No one can start out at #1. It`s a process and the best place to start is in novice. Its like anything else...you start at the bottom and get a good foundation first.

This is the first time reading this post, but I watched that game and here is my $.02
I believe Dietze started only the second half with seven and had eight through the whole first half. At half-time the score is what is was at the end. Dietze was able to hold the penetrators from scoring with seven men without any problems. That shouldn`t be impressive for an A-league champion who are facing a freshmen B-league team. I`m impressed that the penetrators scored on Dietze...twice...it shows that they were at least trying to beat an all-star team. Three or four more seasons and they may be a good team. Only time will tell.

Dietze played the entire game with 7 and did not give up a score while playing defense. Penetrators scored on a pick for 6 and a kickoff return. Dietze could have scored another at the end of the game but let time expire while they were on the goaline.
Not as close as the score showed
C team could not beat a A team 8 VS. 6
