Anyone think there`s a chance the grass got cut at Hook by now? If not I declare Sunday bring your lawnmower to the game day.

This is bs! We pay to play on these fields. The least they can do is cut them every once in a while!

Everyone throw in a dollar. With its proximity to Herndon, we may be able to day laborers.

Arg, we need your superstar, gold nugget, A+, numero uno pick.....will the grass be nice and trim this weekend, or will it be an Amazon jungle?

You got it...

Well Hook Grass is coming off a hell of an off-season. Early into the break, Grass got lucky with a terrific winter warming pattern that resulted in a longer germination season. When you factor in the two late trade-deadline acquisitions of Phosphorous and Nitrogen, the team only got better. And that kid they got in the draft, Perennial Rye, is truly amazing. They say the kid is a cool and warm season blend. Can you imagine?!? I`d look for him to trip up any offense.

There`s no doubt this team will be a formidable foe this week against their cross-town rivalry: the Toro Mowers. The Mowers have lanquished the entire offseason and haven`t really done much at all. Not to mention the salary cap is really hurting them with the rising cost of gasoline.

Add all that to Hook Grass`s easy to non-existant early season schedule and you gotta believe the Grass take this one by a touch!

Tune in next week when Hook Grass takes on Torrential Downpour.

While Hook Grass might be an easy winner this week, I wouldn`t bet on the Lake Fairfax, that turf field is undefeated against the mighty Toro Mowers!
