I will speak the truth. The VFFA has set rules and all the teams are expected to follow those rules. After D-Mob did not get in to the tournament they were told they better not be on anybody elses team for the states. They followed the rules all were there supporting the tournament but none played. The canes from the beach had illegal players bottom line. These players were protested during the game to the refs and after the game to the VFFA HQs. The game was under protest for basically the entire game! Before we knew who was the winner. It was then decided by the refs/commish of the states that if those players did not produce identification to prove who they were, that they were on the roster, and played for the canes that the game would be forfeited. As a result of that decision the entire Underdog team returned to the field for the 6:30 game. At that time the ref. told the team the team complained to their commish and he called Bob. The players in question did not produce IDs and one did not even dress out while the protest was happening. After an hour passed then the VA commish decided to let the Canes play because he was tired of going back and forth about the decision. After that decision was made to let the Canes play then after the game started the player who originally did not dress out for the 630 game but played in the 2:00 game went and changed and dressed out and played. To the Canes if you won your games with your own team and only your team, then I would be congratulating you. To the refs. thank you for going through with the protest and doing your jobs to the fullest. To the VFFA league and commish, something has to be done about the double standards, the disrespect for the rules and policies. TO THE TEAMS IN THE VFFA: THIS HAPPENED TO US IT CAN AND IF UNDER THE RIGHT CIRCUMSTANCES WILL HAPPEN TO YOU. Sharks, Underdogs, Lazy Sundae, Blindside played with their real teams BIG UPS. Firm congrats. No disrespect to anybody but let it be known we "The Underdogs" did what was right and if you do not understand that then you don`t understand INTEGRITY!
