I think Muinty deserves a chance in the "A" division because they worked hard like all the other teams this year!
All the other seasons have had 12 spots for "A" division and the "B" division can have the bye like before!
If it was Lazy or Rhinos! They would be in the "A" division! Give them a chance!! Thanks!!
Poll the coaches!! There is still plenty of time to change the playoffs and have 12 teams in the "A" division!!

All the other seasons have had 12 spots for "A" division
That`s not an accurate statement re: the Fall League. Last Fall we had 19 Open teams, top 8 played "A", next 8 played "B" - 3 teams were left out of the postseason. In the Spring, when we get 28-32 teams in open, then yes - we take the top 12-16 for "A".
This Fall we have 21 Open teams (2 more overall) - and are taking 11 teams into the "A" (3 more overall).
If it was Lazy or Rhinos! They would be in the "A" division!
No, that wouldn`t happen for any team.

So B does not play next week? Or just the play in games?

Scheduling Issue -
Tom, you have the Rhinos v Lazy going at 9:30, then the next game starts at 10:40.
Will that allow for the usual 2-3 overtimes it takes to decide the Lazy - Rhinos winner?

question for a bracket
Oct 24, 2007 8:49 AM | | ; |
How did you come up with the seeding for the A bracket ? We thought it would go with the top three seeds getting byes and 4 vs. 11 , 5 vs. 10 , 6 vs. 9 and so on.

For a bracket with 8 - 16 teams playing, you take the teams ranked above 8 (9,10 & 11 in this case)...and pair them off in descending order against the top 8 working down (8,7 & 6, in this case) then feed those game winners into the 8,7 & 6 slots.
The object is to have 8 teams for the quarterfinals. Anything other than having 7-8 play 9-11 and you do not have 8 teams for the quarterfinals. In the case you suggested we`d have 7 teams for the quarterfinals, so one of those teams would have to bye straight into the semifinals.
If you have 12 teams, then 5-8 plays 9-12. If you have 13 teams, then 4-8 plays 9-13. (this is where the top 3 would get a bye)
