I do not think you can really contest it, all I know is before kick off, the opposing team can challenge one player on the roster, I think....But I dont think you can contest it. Tom, or anyone?

You can print off the opposing teams roster and challenge one player.

You can challenge one player on the other team who has taken the field for at least one play. To challenge, speak to the head official during or immediately after the game (not before - because in this case player in question would not have played a down yet) and ask him to write down the name of the player you are challenging and submit it to the league for roster verification. If the player is not on the roster - team who he was playing with forfeits the game.

Tom, there has to be a better way to challenge rosters .. cuz a player can just say his name is so and so whois already on the team .. do they have to give the ref an ID or soemthing ?

You guys stop being B1tches.. It`s flag football and you guys swear people are illegally putting Ladainian Tomlinson or Randy Moss into the game. It`s just another dude and if you can`t beat them, you don`t deserve to win anyway. Stop looking for technicality as an excuse to make up for you damn lost. Pathetic. Man up Biotches and play football or go shopping with your gf... HAHAHAH

Yes, there are more thorough ways to enforce roster compliance, but the system we have in place now is the best compromise. Once rosters lock, most teams have seen the other teams in their division already and can recognize a ringer. Be advised though, there are teams who carry large rosters which include players who don`t even show up until the playoffs. When coaches voted on this at the coaches meeting they voted not to require all rostered players to participate in the regular season in order to be playoff eligible.
