Can anyone from previous experience give me an idea on their offensive/defensive schemes, main players, and plays they run?

Even if you know their whole schemes, they can`t be beaten. I have watched them for the previous few seasons, and they just have too many athletes. Even if you know what they are doing, you still have to catch them.

Just to let you know how serious they are.. They have not lost a game in a few seasons, but I still see them out there every week scouting their next opponent.

Great QB, above avg WRs, and years of experience. Only blemish is the talking midget who runs his mouth.

Wolves rundown

Here is what you should know about the team:

- #27 is the dirtiest player in the league. He headbutts, throws elbows, and pretty much anything else you can think of. You`ll be able to spot him after he catches his first 5 yard screen pass and starts spouting off immediately afterwards about it. Don`t take **** from the guy, give him back exactly what he gives you.

- #9 (the guy who looks like he`s on his third cycle of roids) is one of the better all-around players in the league. Good hands, very elusive, and always gets away with his flagguarding. DO NOT let them throw short screens to him where he is matched up one-on-one with a corner, he is one of the harder flags in the league to pull. On defense he is not worth testing, he never gets beat deep and pulls flags very well.

- I would recommend keeping a man in the backfield to spy on #0 (MLB) when you have the ball. He is a great blitzer up the middle and will terrorize your QB if you don`t have a quick center that can get up and get a body on him.

- #17 is one of the better QBs in the league. If you don`t find a way to put pressure on him, he will dink and dunk you and go right down the field every time they have the ball. Make him roll to the left and throw the ball deep, which is not his strength. He wants to throw 10-15 yard outs and ins all game.

- #5 is the best possession receiver in the league. Runs crisp routes and catches everything. He is a bigger guy, so put a physical corner on him and DO NOT just let him run his routes clean.

- #32, who is the other protector in the backfield, is one of the better blockers in the league. You need to give him a shot on every play and take him back to the QB. Don`t let him give your rusher a shot to slow him down and leak out for an easy pass.

In terms of scheming against them, that`s what you need to know. #54 is a great pass rusher on defense and #1 (who plays the role of their coach) is solid as well, but there is little that you can do to scheme specifically against them. Make sure that you use the clock when you have the ball and adjust to the looks that they give you, if you try to come at them the same way on every play they will kill you. Also, take a couple shots deep on the CB that plays opposite #9, he plays the short pass very aggressively and can be beat deep.

Bottom line is that they might not beat you with a lot of flash like Bad Boyz or Lazy will, but they are very efficient and probably the best overall team in this league.

Many good points here about this squad. Unfortunately that`s half of the story. Many factors that haven`t been considered are years of experience, knowledge in how to win games, the best D in the league, understanding each other on the field (which took them 6 years) and a number of role players that are better than your better players on most teams-not including the best rusher in the league. Thats SOLID. Get it right avid fan.

They`ll often only line up one lineman next to center, splitting the other out about 5 yards. They are very good in space after the catch and keep the play alive by pitching it well.

I disagree

Rhinos has the best D in the league.....compare the PA`s....that will be an interesing battle.....and the outcome will be a Rhinos WIN! Watch out B*tchezzzzzz!

keep an extra blocking back in the backfield to help with their rush....the D will get tired and will be easier to score on once the second half starts. Dont forget about dumpoff passes to slow the rush down....on defense get to the QB...All wr are serviceable but the QB must get the ball to them....Score points.;...

What is the Wolves center`s role and what is he doing in all of this organized chaos on offense?

he will...

They only allowed 3 less points than the wolves. However, the wolves have outscored their opponents by 60 points. So that means they have given up only 3 more points in 10 more posessions. Do the math. Wolves bets D hands down.

For one, they typically play man. They are the only team that does, as far as I know. Also, they run a spread offense. Watch your back, b/c they are looking to clean clocks (the temptation is to blitz).
Wow, this has changed. Just a couple of months ago they were a bunch of "chokers", and now they are a Category 5 Superteam. Amazing what having you QB for the playoffs will do for your reputation!
Look, they play man and no safety. That means a slant can go the distance, a 5 yard cross can go for 30, and lineman will be open...man has serious vulnarabilities if you are smart.
On D, dont let the qb out of the box. His arm is ok, not great. But he has good wheels and good decision making. BY FAR the most underrated qb in the league. They will trap you and run reverses/swing passes. If you stay disciplined, you should do ok. If you go in at the speed of light, you are dead. Break down. The spread loses effectiveness inside the red zone, so play bend-dont-break.
"SOLID" up above sounds just like #27. Fellahs, their division is weak...they are still very beatable!!!

I am glad "I disagree" is a fan of our defense, but no way the Rhinos are guaranteeing a win against the Wolves. They are a very good team and our past record against them (when they were the Lions) is only 1 and 3.

We have played both the Rhinos and the Wolves. The Rhinos are good, but no where near the Wolves. A good comparison would be.. The Rhinos are the Cowboys and the Wolves are the Patriots. The Wolves are a dynasty right now, but like all dynasty from the Ming to the Lakers, they will all go down eventually. ;)

They`re really playing well. I agree with just about all the info that`s been posted. Their QB is rock solid. He doesn`t throw very far, but he fits it into openings well. Very accurate and smart. And a good runner. #5 is just like the above guy said, a great WR with great hands. #9 and #1 are very fast and can break big plays. They are pretty crisp on offense, especially once they figure your defense out. When that happens, which usually doesn`t take long, look out. It becomes a video game. Their QB will call plays out on the line, they rarely huddle, so I think he`s pretty smart. All in all, they know the game real well, and are comfortable with each other.

Their defense is very amusing. We came to the line against them and I thought we`d be able to throw deep all day, since there wasn`t really a safety. But their rush is fast and strong, and make it hard to have time to throw deep. They have some DB`s that are better than others on the team, but they put everyone in position suited to their strengths. If you can, try to free up time and look long.

All in all, they are the champs for a reason. Bad Boyz, Dietz, Sharks, Lazy are all right there with them though. Really any of those teams could win it and it wouldn`t be a surprise. Rhino`s might be close as well.

One other thing, we`ve played them several times in the past year and have never had an issue with any of them. #52 gets excited, but is not dirty or anything like that. They seem like good guys.

Enough of the Wolves.....

can we get some info. on some other contenders? (Rhinos,Lazy,Sharks, etc.?)

A True Observer

ALL:

The Wolves are a good team, and the elite of VA, but for real...Bad Boyz TRULY exposed them. If anyone watched the game, it was exposure at its best. Although Bad Boyz lost the game with 10 seconds left on the clock, Wolves` QB was sacked 4 or 5 times, and up until the last 10 seconds they had only scored twice. They punted three times and Bad Boyz QB was rusty the first half due to a thumb injury he received the week before against Lazy. The half time score was 7-0 Wolves. They scored one other time in the second half - before their final second score - which was a spectacular catch by #17 (The DB for Bad Bozy covered him well...the entire game until that point). Again, it wasn`t a game that Wolves controlled. In fact, Bad Boyz scored three times in the second half.

I say all of this to say...your points are good, but the Wolves have already been exposed and if you match them athletically and play smart, and they can/will be beat.

sure rhinos, lazy and the sharks are contenders but we are forgetting about a team that beat the rhinos this year and tied lazy during the spring. pain. they have quietly gone 4-1 or 5-1, with their only loss being to the wolves without their current qb. and if you have watched their last 3 games they have pitched shutouts and 2 wins were on a back to back doubleheader.

You are a true idiot, and give your team a bad name. You exposed a team that beat you? Stop typing and get back to pumping gas you retard.

Most of the Bad Boyz (Scarry Larry comes to mind first) are good with their posts. All you do is talk about how awesome you are, even though you lost. And then you spit excuse after excuse as to why you lost. You make no sense, and really may be retarded. I feel sorry for your Mother.

Match up with the wolves athletically and play smart and you can win.

Great insight, many thanks.

Quick follow up question, what team is that NOT true about?

Instead of True Observer you should call yourself Captain Obvious. Or just Silly Little Fella.

Like was said, they have shown improvement. They have a win over Rhino`s which is impressive. But I`m not quite sure they`re ready to challenge just yet. Might need another player or two. Looking at the scores, the Wolves have simply creamed them. They have to be able to score, which this new QB might help with, but they also have to be able to stop the elite teams from scoring. Which they haven`t proven.

I am confused....I dont know if I am good with my posts...or a " mentally challenged fuel distribution engineer" ? Who knows....all I know is the COWBOYS SUCK donkey dildos!

And the game of the week is in Ft Washington Badboyz Sharks re-match...come one, come all to the greatest show of all...its late enough you can beat the sad team you play and come scout 2 of the best teams in this league....

You might even get a surprise ending with a dramatic kick for a GW FG by the badboyz new FG kicker......
