Here are my observations of this year’s Bark Bowl (It’s a long one): First of all I want to thank the commissioners. You can’t show me a better ran flag football league or tournament. If you can please let me know. Great job guys again! To the guys that ran with us from other teams: C.Mack, Ty, Josh & Tom (Novas) – You guys continue to show why the Novas have a legacy in Northern Va and why other teams strive to emulate you. Ty hopes your broken hand heals soon. Matt (Bad Boyz) - Man, you have a V8 engine for a motor. I wouldn’t be surprised if your still out on the field pass rushing. Daryl (MuddDawgs) – You’re a flag magnet. Look forward to playing with you under the lights this fall. Visiting Teams: Thanks for coming up and supporting our tournaments. M&G great game and congrats again on your B state title. See you guys down in states. Skeleton Crew you guys have a good team with a bunch young fast legs but I see that you had to be introduced to Sef’s madness. It’s fun to watch but not fun when it’s happening to you. I hope this tournament can one day be expanded to 32 teams over two days so that you guys can bring more of your counterparts up. Refs: You guys never get any credit. You controlled the games, explained the calls and let the games be decided on the field. That’s all I ask for in refs. Good job guys. Mutiny: Got my redemption. Now it’s 1-1. I was looking forward to the rubber match but M&G had a little something to say about that. Maybe we can start a rivalry. I send the paperwork. Lazy rejected the paperwork I sent to start a rivalry with them. Pain: I’m a fan. Learn from your mistakes and get better. Larrys: A surprise team, I don’t think so. Our sister team, LMAO, will always be in the thick of it. Sharks: Congrats. We never got in the game. 3 turnovers on our end and you guys capitalized on each one. Can’t make those types of mistakes against a team of your caliber. I would love to see the Spring & Fall IFFL Champs take on the Spring & Fall FXFFL Champs. Wolves vs. Sharks, I’d pay to see that game. Let the proceeds go to charity. Major Injuries: The center from the Plumbers, who was running with Lazy, went down with what I was told an Achilles injury. It looked bad. And I mentioned Ty’s broken hand. Hope these two money players get well soon. All players: If you get a chance to play in the Bark Bowl do it. If you just looked at the message board you would think that there is a lot of animosity and hate in this league. The Bark Bowl is a great event to bond with other players in this league and other leagues and everyone showed respect and love for one another. (Group Hug now). And if you’re smart you will take the next day off if you compete in the Bark Bowl. And last but not least to ARG: We haven’t spoke since Friday but I feel the need to explain my actions to you. I know you’re wondering why I jumped out of the car while you were driving when I said on Friday that I was going to ride with you and picks. But after you graciously offered your pond to stay, if the picks didn’t work out, I said a prayer to ‘lil Baby Jesus, who doesn’t even know his alphabets yet. And ‘lil Baby Jesus told me to go with the Sharks. So I put all my money on the Sharks and made out. Since you put my business out there about me losing my valued Kyle Boller jersey, I splurged and got me a signed 2000 Trent Dilfer Ravens jersey. I’m on my way to get it framed now.
