DIVISION 1 round 2 analysis
Mutiny&Outlaws
Well whaddaya know. I said last week that the Rhinos would not be overlooking the game against Mutiny and I was dead wrong about that. And yes, you have to "blame this one on the Rhinos offense" and judgin by his childish fit its obvious someone with the initials A.R.G. lost a bundle of money on this game. Word to the wise: spread it around. I did give Mutiny some credit by saying they deserved to be here in the DIV I playoffs and they proved that. I also called a 10-8 Outcast close win over Outlaws so I was not too far off on that one. We`re in for another low scoring defensive effort this week between these 2 teams who know each other pretty good. Mutiny got some help from a goose egg offensive effort from a normally fruitful Rhinos offense last week but don`t expect lightning to strike twice. Cinderella will have to put more than 3 points on the board this Sunday but how many will it take to win? The Ravens rode to a ring by scoring just a few more points than the defense allowed. The Mutiny kicking game which beat both the Rhinos and the Outlaws in an earlier game could again be the deciding factor. Look for Cinderella to last another week, Mutiny 10-7.
Lazy Sunday&Bad Boyz
Game of the week here. I called Lazy to win last week 27-10 and their offense was listening but the defense had something to say about it and they won 27-0. Kudoos to Diesel who managed to hang in there and find the endzone more than the one time I predicted but the final result was not unexpected as Bad Boyz took control and won comfortably. The injury report out yesterday is not good news for the Bad Boyz because anything less than a 100% effort in the playoffs against a healthy Lazy Sunday team is a recipe for a quick exit. If you give up 2 scores to Diesel you are giving at least 4 to Lazy. The Bad Boyz will need to put up at least 4 scores to win this game and at this point that is in doubt. This game has the possibility of getting out of hand if the Bad Boyz bandaids don`t hold everyone together. Lazy advances to the final 4 28-12.
Wolves&All Makes
I warned everyone last week that the Wolves spring DIV I playoff woes were not a pattern but there were still those out there expecting an upset in the game against Pain. How about a 36 point blowout? The Wolves turned it up about 5 notches and you have to think at this point that even the mental factor will not be an issue. I also expected All Makes to survive against DWC due to better organization and experience which they did but this week they are not only overmatched athleticaly but they are facing a defense that will not be confused by a shifty offense. Experience and organization is not enough this week and look for the Wolves to post another blowout 28-3 and advance to the final 4.
Playmakers&Novas
Not the game of the week but a marquee match and these teams do have a history. I had called a 3 point Larrys minor upset over the Playmakers but the Playmakers topped them by 2. Its obvious the Playmakers have learned from past mistakes since they have been very, very quiet this year and directed their energy onto the field instead. As expected, the Novas cruised through to round 2 without too much effort. Both these teams operate good ball control offense and don`t force many mistakes so look for long time consuming drives as oppossed to quick strikes. If one team gets more than 2 scores ahead of the other that team will win but I don`t think that will happen. Look for the Novas to stop a final drive late in the game and preserve a 14-8 win.

First: I agree with W/L outcomes... but, I dont believe lazy will put up 28.. The playmakers turn the ball over alot, not as controled as people think, this will be the diference... And, All makes won 26 - 0 against Dwc, must have done something more than just survive?

chris,
I just wanted to clarify it was only 1TD Babdoyz gave up....10 pts.
Diesel Defense intercepted the ball at our 10 yd line...giving them first and goal 10 yds.
I am going to go out on a limb and predickt a Badboyz win...20-14
So even with 10 pts Disel although played very well didnt move the ball alot against the solid D of Badboyz.

All of you guys are sleeping on badboyz and think that lazy will have an easy victory. I just want you to know that last time lazy played badboyz they won 13-7 but half of our team wasnt there and the scored one of their touchdowns on a lucky play where the ball bounced off a player during the kickoff and one of the lazy players caught it and scored. now its not very likely that will happen again. now a win is a win but for us to have half our team those guys were not impressive at all. i doubt very seriously that they will beat us again.

Blah, Blah, Blah. Half of our team wasn`t there. My panties were on backwards, my girdle was too tight, my stockings had a run in it, my period was on, etc. Man up. A loss is a loss. What will be the excuse this Sunday?

On the real, Badboyz has NEVER - in 10 years - allowed a team to put up 28 points, especially a 28 point lost!! NEVER in 10 years!! That`s is a VERY unrealistic predictions Collinsworth!! No one have a clue about the back-up QB for BB. But...I guess Sunday will be the deciding factor.
Sidenote: Oh...I am sorry, my bad, about four weeks ago (in another league that awards for point for), Badboyz beat a team 52-30, BB was trying to run up the score.
Sorry for the mishap.

I dont see badboyz scoring more than 7 pts without their QB...this game is going to be a joke

Quick Question
Jun 07, 2007 5:30 PM | | ; |
Other than saying on this board what they have won this and that, what exactly have the badboyz ever won? Are they some stud team that just goes all over the country taking on top competition? As far as I can see they only played in last years State tournament, and in the B league no less, could not even make it to Sunday. So what gives?

making it to Sun in the B means you have won 3 or 4 games to get there....not an easy task!

We play in a few other non-sanctioned leagues...and seem to win about 90%of the titles. We just got back into IFFL last season..I think we did alright, lets see where we go this year

I checked the B tourney bracket. Did not see the BB`s listed. Did they go under another name? Just curious.
