Why is that the final weeks games do not count in the playoff structure? Wouldn`t this be the opppurtunity for one division to get a step up by playing well out of division. It seems strange that we have teams that have clinched spots and might not even finish above .500

Everyone had a chance to make their case for the playoffs with the 6 division games. Everyone plays each other within the division so you can see how you stack up. One out of division game is not a good indicator.
If the Ravens plays the Patriots and the Browns plays the Texans. Ravens lose and Browns win, does that mean the Browns are better than the Ravens? Now if the both play the same team than I`m all for it.

All games should count..... Because If mutiny wins this weekend then that division will send 5 teams???? So if points from one teams victories able them to get ahead of another team from another division, then all are effcted by this. If game 7 does not count, then the top 3 teams in all divisions should go to the top playoffs, and have a couple wild cards.. and the overall standings should not count... If you put everyone in the same pot and then select them based on overall w/l and then points, theh all games should count...

I think the games should count because lets say Badboyz beat the Rhinos. How can you give the Rhinos the #1 seed and give BadBoyz the #4 seed in the playoffs? That doesn`t make any sense.

You both make valid points.
re: it is wrong -- you need a 3-2-1 record to lock up an A playoff spot. If you can`t beat the 3 bottom dwellers in your division and get a tie against one of the top 3. Then I don`t know what to tell ya. Even if we go with top 3 in each division, we`ll still have this discussion in regards to the wildcards. Think of it as top 2 gets the automatic playoff bid and the rest are wildcards.
re:The G.O.A.T. Think of it this way, if the BadBoyz lose, they`ll still be the 4th seed.

I agree that this 7th game should count towards the records and towards the playoffs. Why state that there will be a 7 game regular season during registration, and then change it to 6 games and an exhibition game? This is the first season that I can remember where all 7 games didn`t count towards the team record and thus who makes the playoffs.

Well whats the point of playing on sunday? Why play in a meaningless game right before the playoffs and risk getting someone on your team hurt? If a team decides to forfeit then what?

because

You love to play. There is nothing on TV Sunday Mornings. Opportunity to work on different plays. Etc. Etc.

So that you get 7 games for the money you pay. If you want to forfeit, let Tom know and I`m sure he wouldn`t have trouble finding a team that`s willing to take your spot this weekend.
If you can come up with a good and sensible way to schedule the games where it`s fair to everyone, I`m sure Tom would follow it. There`s already enough people crying about Novas and Lazy, imagine what it`ll be like if the games counted and they didn`t face a top tier team.

If the game is meaningless to your team, then rest your starters or contact Tom to inform him that your team plans on taking a forfiet so that he can schedule another team to play. I would think that every team would like a tune up game right before the playoffs.

to play games. If you don`t want to play your 7th game, then call the commish and tell him you forfeit.
everyone knew going into this season how the playoff structure works. now b/c a couple teams "could" make the playoffs depending on the outcome of the 7th games, they want to complain.
stop complaining and use the 7th game to get ready for the B playoffs.

I really do not understand the reason, if there is one. If I am understanding this correct then if Titans beat up Pain this weekend, Pain gets a trip to the playoffs at 3-3 and the Titans (4-3) don`t make it. Thanks.

Maybe the Titans should have shown up against one of the worst team in their division. What if Pain was schedule against the NOVAS and Titans plays Union? Like post above, beat the three scrubs in your division and tie one of the top three. If you can`t do that you don`t deserve to make it.
