I`m guessing that because 3 of the 4 divisions have already been clinched, despite the fact that several of the second place teams could (in theory) compile a better won/loss record than the first place team, that the out-of-division game 7 is not relevant.

not all

divisions have been clinched. Outlaws still have a chance to steal 1st this weekend from the wolves.

yup

As stated by Tom, out of division game does not count in the standings. Has nothing to do with division being clinched. Just wouldn`t be fair cause some teams pull tougher games and some pull the easier ones.

But

Isn`t this how the nfl does it, these 7th games should count.

1st, we`re not the nfl.
2nd, it`s obvious your team got and "easy" 7th game. would it be fair to the rhinos, who has to play the top team in maryland, when no one else in their division has to?

fact

Guys, it is a chance to play one more football game.Does it matter if it counts or not ?

seriously

this game should count. If the game was scheduled at the beginning of the season, would there be complaints about who got an easier draw for their non conference game?

If the game doesn`t count for anything, why even bother playing? I expect there might be some forfeits for team`s playing 8am games.

yes

Some teams get good draws, some bad. That`s life, having the games not count is absurd.

i hate to say it but your both morons. we all pay, yes PAY to play.

so i`m playing regardless of whether the game count or not. if you want to sit home and take a forfeit, fine. please have to courtesy to inform Tom and the opposing coach.

Also, for these games that don`t count. Tom usually tries to match the teams based on their level of play and/or history. That`s why they`re not listed at the beginning of the season.

Yea

If you`re playing 7 games then all should count. It`s a league where you play games that should count towards the final goal, playoffs. Having 1 game not count is unusual. Show me 1 other league that does things this way, now who`s the Moron.

to play teams you otherwise wouldn`t see. Stop whining that it should count. If you need that one game to get into the playoffs your sorry team should have played better earlier in the season.

ok

this is my last post on this matter. arguing with you is like arguing with my gf. logic and reason makes no sense to her either.

look at the outlaws and wolves. that division is up for grabs. the wolves have to play the playmakers, who went 7-0 last year. outlaws plays DWC who aren`t as tough. so if the games count, the outlaws would have an easier road to win the division, thereby getting a guaranteed top 5 seed, thereby getting and easier draw in the playoffs. hell, you can even throw in United into the equation, they could win the division because they`re playing the Hounds.

waaahhhhh

This team is better then that team, i want a better draw, waahhhhh. Have the games count, obviously not this season but in future seasons.

The games do not count in the standings, but may count in the case of head to head between those two teams alone if it comes to that.

The match-ups are both rivalries in some cases, estimates of equal strength in other cases, and mix and match in a few cases.

It is more fair to have these games not count than it is to count them.

In all cases, that week seven game is yours to get everything worked out for the postseason - where any game could be your last game. Try some new plays, players, strategies or formations that you might not attempt with everything on the line.

If your team is not inclined to show up on 5/20, and wants a three week break (5/14 - 6/3) before your playoff game please let me know in advance so I can adjust the schedule accordingly.
