Clock Stoppage

I beleive in the fall and last spring the clock ran the entire first half except for timeouts. Did that rule change this year? I though in the past the clock only stopped during the last two minutes of the second half. Can anyone clarify if this was a rule change?

I believe that is the rule. Running clock until the final 2mins of the game.

The rules have not changes. The clock is continuous until the 2 minute mark of each half. At that point, the clock is stopped with each incompletion and/or out-of-bounds. Again, this applies to both the first and second halves.

Looks like games are being played differently. For some reason the clock stopped during the last two minutes of the first half and the team we played had no timeouts. The last couple of years the clock did not stop in the first half besides timeouts and only stopped in the last two minutes of the game.

At Braddock the clock stopped in the first half. Player where was your games and why did these games play with different clock rules. I am not sure what book timing rules mean, except maybe going out of bounds and incomplete passes the clock will stop. Again, the clock did not stop last year in the first half except for time outs and maybe change of possession.

don`t complain

if the clock stopped, that`s great b/c it gives us more playing time. isn`t that what everyone was complaining about on another thread over the last week or so?

It is not a complaint but just want to know what rules we will be playing by each week and why they are different at each fields.
