one of the concerned players

This is actually for the two unbiased commissioners. Isn`t a player who is kicked out of a game suppose to be suspended for a game not a week. I mean damn at least have one set of rules for the whole league. Lazy player was kicked out week one and Rob says his served his suspension last week. Wasn`t last week a rain out.
If this is how this league is going to conduct business, then I know I will be in my coaches ear that we should get out and find a more honest league. There has been too many instances where a conflict of interest with Lazy and Rob being a commissioner.
I mean we are just playing flag football, not getting paid, doing on our time, some for recreation, is it that critical that Lazy gets a lot of "fortunate" breaks. They are a good team but there have been one too many "I am the commissioner" speaches by Rob.

I really hope that it wasn`t a fellow Prowler player that posted this topic. If it was, it really does reflect badly on us. Is it fair? Not really. Does it really matter? No. We lost, we`ll get over it. It`s just Sunday flag football, not the Superbowl. Besides, I would rather NOT win by way of a forfeit. I give props to Lazy, they`re a talented team. They beat us. That`s the bottom line.

Not True

Actually that is not the "bottom line". It should not matter if the player which was supposed to serve a suspension is great, good or awful. Simply, there are rules that we as a league shall all be governed. If Lazy Sundae does not obide be the same guidelines the rest of league is manifested, the issue is much deeper than whether your team won or lost today.

I agree, we should all be governed, but I just joined to play. The main problem is that this whole conversation will come down on all us Prowlers as being sore losers. Hell, even with my posts, it should be taken as my own personal opinion, not that of my entire team.

I can understand why the suspension thing would be bothersome but for me, a prowler and i can`t speak for my whole team but we just tryin to have fun, And i agree with the other prowler`s player when he said that he wouldn`t want to win that way...All i can say about this is next time when/if our team shall meet...T.O will make him presence felt lol....good game Lazy and good luck on the rest of the season

Would love to hear

I think most of us realize Sef is an upstanding dude, so please tell the rest of us what happened if you feel up to it. I can say that I had a player tossed last year and the refs told us the next week was mandatory. Its worth figuring this all out.

I would like to respond even though I shouldn`t.
First off, things aren`t always what they seem to be. For everyone that thinks Lazy Sundae is given "all the breaks" you all are incorrect. You can talk to any experienced team/coach that has been around for more than a season and any of them will confirm that I/we do not govern our league inappropiately. Throughout all of my years of making my contributions to this league, I am appauled/disgusted to those of you that think I need to twist the rules in place to win a regular season game. If anything what all of you who make these accusations don`t see is that my team is scrutinized more than any other team in the league, because I am the commissioner. Personally I don`t feel that is fair either. But that is the price my team pays for allowing me to continue to play with them. And I thank you all who are in our Lazy Sundae family.
If you feel the need to insult my intergrity as a man, then be a man step up and insult me face to face. I am quite tired of those few bad apples who are just plain ol` sore losers. For those bad apples who are making wrong accusations, ultimately you are insulting the integrity of the league. I am always out and about at games, if you have any questions at any time about my intergrity or how I contribute to the league please ask at any time. If you cannot man up and talk to me face to face, then please feel free to communicate with any other experienced team/coach in the league that knows who I am and I can say ahead of time that any of them will validate that this league is the best league around and my team does not get any favors from anyone, not even the other commissioners Shay/Tom. In case any of you ponder why I don`t step down and not play it is because I consider all of the guys I`ve played with over the years as family first. I also put in alot of hours of my free time without pay, so you have a place to play on Sunday, even you bad apple, msg board bullies. So if I make it available to bad apples to have a place to play then why can`t I.
Nuff said about all of this, if you have questions/concerns I am available. Bottom line we are out there on Sunday to have fun aren`t we? If you are this upset about Sunday flag football, to insult my integrity as a man and ultimately insult the League`s intergrity and my Co-Commissioners intergrity, maybe you should try golf, tennis on Sunday.
Good luck to every other team throughout the rest of the season!!!

So...
Apr 23, 2007 8:12 AM | | ; |
...we should all assume that a Lazy player didnt get to play without serving the suspension, right? It would be nice to hear so we can put this to bed.

This is for the above poster named "So" what is it that you don`t get? Please call me and I will explain it to you in detail and hopefully I can explain it so you understand. Please don`t assume anything, this is why we have this thread, because of assumptions. To answer the player was never suspended from any future games.
Thank you!

Been in the league for 6 years. The commish`s do a great job and shouldn`t take the message board bashing to heart. It`s just people who like to try and stir things up. I raised a brow when I started to read this thread but knew there was a reasonable explanation and that is that there is no automatic suspension. It`s funny because I always thought there was, but slow me remembered my own teammate got kicked out of a game last season and he played in the next game, so i should have known better.

whats the deal

Seems like people are trying to hide who got suspended and why. Just tell us.

why does it matter
Apr 23, 2007 9:50 AM | | ; |
why does it matter who got suspended. What this turns out to be is a case of some newer teams/players who come in, THINK they know all of the rules and want to try and start crap.
| |
|
Can you clarify?
Apr 23, 2007 2:24 PM | | ; |
Rob, Just looking for clarification, not trying to stir the pot. I don`t care who was suspended or who wasn`t.
If you are thrown out of a game, for whatever reason (complaining about calls, playing dirty, etc.), are you then banned from the next game? Also, can we assume this does not include a rainout?
Again, I am not trying to piss anyone off, just looking for an answer.
Thanks for your time.
