Can we change the rule on Kickoff and Return kicks so hitting people/blocking are allowed? Instead of just standing like dolls....

coming from the contact league, I can tell you that is where the most injuries occur. I can tell you right now, that rule will never change in this league.

Can`t do that at states so why add it in. Just going to get people hurt. I`m sure no one is scared. However I`m sure must of us have to work on Monday.

The IFFL and the FCFFL rules are kept in line with the Virgnia Flag Football Association (VFFA). The VFFA rules are kept in line with the United States Flag Footbal Association (USFFA). The IFFL and FCFFL are member leagues of the VFFA. If the IFFL or FCFFL were to change a major rule like that,we wouldn`t be able to be a member league of the VFFA, which means that none of the teams in our leagues would be able to compete in states or nationals. So is it worth changing the rule? I would guess most of the teams here would say no. If you want to block down field, play in the indoor league.

We won`t change any of the blocking rules. The current rules have evolved over the course of 30 years. The organization (VFFA) who`s rules we use started out as 9-man with blocking downfield. Rules have changed over the decades to suit the will of a majority of teams.

The 2 point conversion we use up here (2 R/P from the 10, 1 R/P/K from the 3) did pass, and will be used at the State Tournament next year.

Thank you and it does make sense if we are not able to compete in states or national. Had to ask since so many people talk trash..
